Exterior Overview
The 2nd generation Aristo is a masterclass of design. This 2000 S300 rides like a dream, is handsomely styled, and is as reliable and safe as they come. Finished in a classic White Pearl (062), this five-seater is set off by subtle privacy tint and OEM one-piece rain guards. Aside from a few light dings, chips, and scuffs, this terrific Toyota is no worse for wear. Fresh off a recent service including a new timing belt and water pump, this smooth-riding sedan is offered with a mere 30k verified and documented miles on the clock. Perfect as a trusty daily driver, this Aristo would also be a neat weekend cruiser or frugal family hauler. An affordable and easy-to-maintain Japanese Classic like this won’t stick around here long, and we think the world of these special saloons!
Interior Overview
The cabin is spacious, well optioned, and in better shape than any in recent memory. Included with the purchase are two spare keys, the original owner’s manual, and the maintenance booklet, too. Cabin access is made more seamless thanks to functional keyless entry. The driver and passenger can find the ideal position with electric seats, and the pilot gains an electric tilt and telescoping steering column. The digital climate system is simple to use and pumps in ice-cold air conditioning and piping hot heat depending on your preference. The OEM JBL upgraded audio below sounds clean and crisp and works like it should, supplementing your commute with a full array of tunes. The tan cloth upholstery is soft to the touch and is in above-average condition. It lacks any major rips, stains, or tears. The dashboard is in wonderful nick, and lacks any cracking or fading. Dual SRS front and side airbags are standard equipment, as are ABS brakes if you happen to be safety conscious. Power windows, door locks, and electric folding mirrors all function in typical Toyota fashion, making daily use more manageable. The soft touch plastics, headliner, door cards, and carpet all have escaped the past twenty-five years without sustaining any major abuse, and its clear this Aristo was cared for in a life overseas. It even includes a factory air purifier!
Mechanical Overview
Under the skin this Aristo is virtually the same as our domestic Lexus GS300 models. This makes parts acquisition and servicing options as easy as pie. The 2JZ-GE is an incredible mill, and this one is fresh off an oil and filter service. A new engine air filter allows the six to breathe properly and six new spark plugs allow for proper fuel combustion. The electronics all will stay properly powered, too, and a new alternator supplies current to your accessories. One of our trained techs has addressed a few pesky oil leaks to get this thing road trip ready. A new front main seal, valve cover gaskets, and cam seals were installed so that this 2J keeps running right as rain. Also taken care of was a new timing belt, water pump, and thermostat, which will last for another decade or 100k kilometers. The driveline was shored up even furthur when we ressealed the oil pan. Torque is fed to the rear wheels, and this Toyota hustles up to highway speeds with ease. It is a comfortable cruiser, and the suspension can handle the rigors of daily use and abuse without breaking a sweat. The ABS brakes feel confident slowing down this executive car, and the power steering is light yet on point. The OEM wheels are wrapped in brand-new tires. Freshly aligned, they will last for tens of thousands of miles to come and reduce road noise immensely. Turn key and ready to rock, this Toyota just needs a new owner.
