Exterior Overview
Toyota can design a premium saloon as evidenced by the Celsior and Century models. In fact, in 1999 Toyota was producing loads of rear-drive sedans, and this Crown is a fine example of the JZS175 chassis. Finished in a lovely Chrystal White (2FQ), this four-door is set off by FRP aero, Work Gnosis wheels, an OEM rear wing, and some subtle OEM rainguards. Aside from a few light dings, chips, and scuffs the body is in good shape and this recently serviced four-door is offered with a mere 54k verified and documented miles. Powered by a silky smooth 2JZ, and boasting a plush and safe cabin, this executive car is an absolute dream to drive. Ideal as a unique daily driver, fantastic family hauler, or weekend car show queen, this special Japanese Classic is reliable, cool, and best of all affordable!

Interior Overview
Laid out in an ergonomic design, the interior is spacious, clean, and includes loads of electric equipment. The dashboard is in wonderful shape and lacks any cracking, discoloration, or distortion. The swept, modern styling looks appealing, and the dash includes dual SRS airbags, a hidden storage compartment, electric oscillating climate vents, and a Panasonic headunit. Cabin access is more seamless thanks to keyless entry. An electric tilt and telescoping steering column, and a power seat, allow the pilot to find the ideal seating position. Long hauls shouldn’t be a concern as those behind the wheel even receive electric lumbar support. Bluetooth hands-free tech is on hand for those who want to keep their eyes on the road and the audio quality is crisp and clear. Cold air conditioning and piping hot heat make year-round use enjoyable and the power windows, electric door locks, and heated power-folding side mirrors all work in typical Toyota fashion. The gray cloth seats are in above-average shape and lack any major rips retains or tears. The headliner looks mint and the carpet and door cards have resisted major abuse over the years. Even the maintenance booklets are still sitting in the glovebox, and the OEM carpet mats are included with the purchase of this vehicle. Overall it’s hard to critique this clean cabin, as the Japanese owner clearly took care of the interior overseas!

Mechanical Overview
The platform feels predictable and refined. It can easily handle the rigors of daily use and abuse with the best of them, frankly. The same can be said for the 2JZ-FSE under the bonnet. The 2J is fresh off an oil and filter service and whirrs to life quickly care of a new 12v battery. To keep the oil level on full we installed a new valve cover gasket when it got on the lift. A new engine air filter and spark plugs work to maximize fuel economy and performance, and the 3.0L runs without vibration. Best of all one of our trained techs has performed the most expensive maintenance service there is! A new timing belt and water pump were installed. The coolant was flushed and a new thermostat was installed for good measure. Good for ten years or 100k kilometers to come, the new owner can hit the road and rest assured knowing the 2J is in tip-top shape. The inline six is linked to a stout automatic gearbox that shifts like a dream. Power is sent to the rear wheel and this Crown hustles up to highway speeds quickly. Sustained cruising is comfortable and the long wheelbase and soft suspension soak up all the bumps. Refreshed with new front caster arms its passed its VA state inspection with flying colors. The ABS brakes feel confident and the power steering is light yet on point. The WORK Gnossis alloys are appeared in 19″ Falken tires. The new rubber not only looks great, but they quell road noise, and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come.
