This V8-powered wonder is fresh off a recent service and has logged only 40k verified and documented miles since new. Finished in a classic White Pearl (057), this 4×4 is adorned with a factory rear spoiler, OEM optional grille, factory rainguards, OEM spare tire swingarm, factory chrome taillight garnishes, OEM moonroof visor, aftermarket fender flares, and new ICON alloys. Aside from a few light dings, chips, and scuffs, the paint is in good shape, and this eight-seater is ready to roll. Interior Overview
The cabin is in wonderful shape and comes with some handy upgrades and decent amenities. Pilots of all sizes can find the ideal driving position courtesy of a tilt-adjustable steering column and electric lumbar support. Dual SRS airbags are standard equipment, and the dashboard is in good shape aside from some light cracking and discoloration in the center. We installed a new USDM Boss audio system with American radio frequencies and Bluetooth integration. Below, the simple to use auto climate control system is able to pipe in cold A/C or piping hot heat. If you prefer natural ventilation, a large power moonroof can tilt and retract, the rear quarter glass butterflies outward, and the side windows can all be powered down with one-touch buttons. Power folding mirrors, power locks, and cruise control work like a charm, making daily use more enjoyable. The seats are trimmed in a durable tan cloth. Soft to the touch, the seating surfaces lack any major rips, stains, or tears. The same material can be found in the door cards, which are in equally good nick. The middle row can recline, split fold, and tumble forward to accommodate larger cargo, and the rear jump seats can be stowed tidily against the D-pillar. The headliner and door cards are in good nick, and aside from the dashboard imperfections, it’s hard to critique the cabin at all!
Mechanical Overview
Under the skin, this body on frame beast is tough as nails. The same can be said for its storied 2UZ-FE V8. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the 4.7L springs to life thanks to a new 12v battery. A proper tune-up was in order, so we slapped in a new engine air filter and seated a new set of eight spark plugs and coil packs. So that the electronics could stay properly powered, one of our trained techs installed a new alternator. We also replaced the thermostat and flushed the old coolant. The DOHC engine feels healthy as a horse and is linked to a stout automatic gearbox. It shifts like a charm and feeds torque through a fulltime 4WD system. A center locker and low range can be utilized when you encounter loose surfaces, and this rig is one of the most capable to leave the stable at Toyota. The long wheelbase and adjustable AHC suspension gobble up uneven pavement, and the ABS brakes were flushed and can confidently reel in this heavyweight from higher speeds. The power steering is light and easy to articulate. The 33″ Falken tires were just mounted, balanced, and aligned, and they should last for tens of thousands of miles to come.
