Exterior Overview
In 2025, we are hard pressed to find many rear-drive sedans on the market. And if you want to row your own gears, good luck with your search! This 1999 Chaser is a throwback to the good old days. Powered by a firebreathing twin-turbo engine, this freshly serviced Toyota is offered with a mere 93k verified and documented miles on the clock. Finished in a new coat of Toyota’s stylish Ocean Gem (795) this JZX100 is adorned with OEM one-piece rainguards, OEM side skirts, a factory rear lip, OEM front lip, Speedline wheels, and a subtle OEM rear spoiler. Aside from a few light dings, chips, and scuffs the paint is in good shape and this saloon would show well at the local Cars & Coffee. Perfect as a reliable daily driver, durable drift machine, or fast family hauler, this terrific Tourer V ticks almost every box, and is a legendary Japanese Classic.

Interior Overview
The interior has been nicely maintained and is in good shape overall. Toyota put a lot of emphasis into safety and dual SRS front and side airbags are standard equipment. The dashboard lacks any cracking, fading, or distortion and looks modern, with its swept design and carbon trim. A digital climate control system is located in the center stack and flows cool A/C and piping hot heat depending on your requirements. The driver can find the ideal driving position thanks to a tilt and telescoping steering column. Power folding mirrors, power locks, and power windows all work in typical Toyota fashion making daily use more enjoyable. For nighttime driving, the headlights can be adjusted up and down from within the cabin, illuminating the road ahead. The headliner is in good shape, as are the carpets and door cards. The seats are trimmed in a textured, soft gray cloth. They lack any major rips, stains, or tears and are in good nick. That’s not to say the cabin is perfect as there is some wear on the soft-touch surfaces, and while the head unit is powered, it no longer pumps out the tunes. Still, at 25 years of age, the cabin condition is impressive and this example even includes the OEM carpet mats, owners manuals, and maintenance booklets.

Mechanical Overview
The chassis is a sublime one, known for its predictable nature and ability to pull dual duty as a track star and daily driver. The engine is an absolute gem, too. The 1JZ-GTE under the bonnet is equipped with VVT-i, and is fresh off an oil and filter service. It churns to life care of a new 12v battery and idles without vibration. A new fuel filter keeps unwanted contaminants out of the engine and the the 2.5L pulls hard to redline. It sounds menacing too, thanks to a free-throwing catback exhaust, and is connected to a slick five-speed manual. The gearbox is communicative and lacks any grinding or hitches. Torque is fed to the rear wheels, and this Chaser scoots when you mash the right pedal. One of our trained technicians has completely overhauled the suspension to give this sedan a new lease on life. Brand new front lower ball joints, front caster arms, and inner and outer tie rods were replaced. We also completely rebuilt the steering rack and installed new bushings. The power steering is on point and it delivers a lot of feedback. The brakes feel confident and the ABS can handle a dusting of snow if you get caught out in the elements. The Speedline wheels are wrapped in new Falken tires, mounted and balanced when it was on the lift. The new rubber quells road noise, and will deliver tens of thousands of miles of year-round grip for a long while to come. To complete our reconditioning, we performed a four-wheel alignment. Turn key and ready to roll, this Toyota is as good as it gets!
