The cabin is filled with power options, premium materials, and loads of safety features. Entry to the cockpit is seamless thanks to functional keyless entry and an electric adjustable steering column allows the driver to find the ideal driving position. For long hauls, cruise control is standard and works as it should. Power front seats make adjustments a snap, and both front occupants also enjoy the reassurance of knowing dual front and side SRS airbags protect them. In typical Toyota fashion, power-folding mirrors, power locks, and power windows all work. For summer swelters digital dual zone climate control funnels cold A/C through the cabin and piping hot heat is available for the winter months. Powered by the same legendary engine as the fourth-generation Supra, this Aristo is no joke. Fresh off an oil and filter service the 3.0L churns to life care of a new 12v battery. A new engine air filter allows the inline six to breathe freely and this 2J idles with hardly a vibration. Power is fed to the rear wheels through a stout automatic gearbox. Shifts feel reassured and the driver can change gear up and down through a set of steering wheel-mounted buttons. Acceleration is impressive yet smooth and the JZS161 sails up to highway speeds with ferocity. It slows down equally well thanks to its even weight distribution and standard anti-lock brakes. The suspension is soft and gobbles up large and small potholes alike. One of our trained techs has replaced the front caster arm bushings and replaced the rear steering toe arms, too. A fresh alignment guarantees the brand-new tires mounted and balanced at all four corners last as long as possible. The power steering is direct and light and this Aristo is a dream to drive, even over rough pavement.
