Stock #5925
Stock#5925By 1998, nearly a decade into production, the Celsior had already cemented itself as one of the best luxury designs the world had ever seen. Inexpensive to operate and featuring bulletproof reliability and loads of electric amenities, these Toyotas took the fight to European manufacturers. This UCF21 is finished in a Diamond White over Gray two-tone (051) and is set off by a set of 17" Rays Vitrix Kreutzer wheels and some subtle privacy tint. Aside from a few light chips, dings, and scuffs this sedan is in good shape overall and is fresh off a recent service. At 78k verified and documented miles, this refined five-seater would make for a wonderful daily driver or cool VIP weekend cruiser. Safe, spacious, and smooth this Japanese Classic cruiser is a timeless design and a winner from the beginning! The cabin is clean, spacious, and nicely appointed. The driver has a clear view of the road ahead and the dashboard lacks any cracking or fading. Like modern cars, dual front and side SRS are standard. The driver and passenger also benefit from power-adjustable front seats, which can be set in a multitude of ways for optimal comfort. Even the seat belts power adjust, which is over the top admittedly. Dual-zone climate control is standard and works like a charm as does the factory audio. An electric steering column, power-folding mirrors, and the electric locks all work like a charm making daily use more enjoyable. The tan cloth upholstery is in above-average shape and lacks any major rips, stains, or tears. The carpets, headliner, and door cards have also survived the past 25 years without sustaining major abuse, as well. The original owners manuals even made it overseas and the American buyer will likely love having it for originality's sake. Quiet, composed, and nearly silent at even interstate speeds, it's easy to see why the LS400 was such a successful and loved model here in the US.This 1998 benefits from a reworked 1UZ-FE. The team at Toyota added VVT-i technology to bolster the low-end power and then threw another forward gear into the transmission. The result is much-improved acceleration and better fuel economy. The 4.0L under the hood is fresh off an oil and filter service and starts up with the twist of the key thanks to a new 12v battery. A new engine air filter allows the Celsior to breathe freely and the 4.0L runs tip-top with its resealed oil pan. It's mated to a slick-shifting automatic and sends power to the rear wheels like a true luxury car should! For some added peace of mind, a minor leak from the transmission was taken care of thanks to a fresh reseal of the unit. The suspension benefits from a full refresh, too, thanks to one of our trained techs. New front lower ball joints were installed as were both front upper control arms. Replaced also were the rear upper control arms and rear tow bushings, which were changed as well. Thanks to all these items, the Celsior drives like it's practically new! New all-season tires and a fresh alignment ensure she points straight as an arrow and the power steering is light, yet on point and a new power steering pump was taken care of in house. The standard ABS brakes are improved with new front rotors and new front and rear brake pads, and this UCF21 is turn-key ready for a road trip!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
