Stock #5805We sell our fair amount of overland-ready vans, trucks and SUV's, but any true outdoor enthusiast will tell you there's no substitute for a proper full-sized recreational vehicle. This 1996 Toyota ToyoAce is ideal for those who want all the creature comforts of an RV, with the smaller footprint of a runabout van you can take off the grid. In typical Japanese Classics fashion, this one is a real treat to look at! Finished in a one-off Periwinkle Mist and offset by an extremely fitting graphics package. This camper also boasts a retractable awning, rear ladder, and easy to access electric and water hookups. For a 27 year old van, there are some typical chips, dings, and fading to be found around the body, but nothing unwelcoming, as the 77k miles on the clock are verified and speak as a testament to the vehicle's condition. We rarely see something this cool on the lot, and campers are one of our most requested offerings by far, snatch this awesome ToyoAce up before it's too late!Up front, drivers may be surprised to see that this classic camper has plenty of space and comfortable amenities to make even longer trips a walk in the park. Automatic climate control works like a charm pumping cold A/C and hot heat throughout the cabin. Additionally, the roof mounted A/C in the rear is fully functional and a godsend for anyone looking to go adventuring in the summer heat and humidity. For some more natural ventilation, both power windows work up front as well alongside power locks and a massive power folding front mirror assembly. An aftermarket rear camera system is wired in via an external screen, and the wild blue patterned cloth is rip and tear free, and was clearly well cared for in its prior Japanese life. These campers fully endorse the "business in the front, party in the back" mantra, and the living space is fully equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, mini fridge, microwave, entertainment center, and of course sleeping space for two atop the cockpit. Much like a house furnished in 1996, you won't have any amenities out of the latest issue of Trailer Life Magazine but it's more than enough to support you and your copilot on a summer camping excursion. A solar charging system feeds a power inverter to power your accessories on the go, and there are external electric and water hookups for when you arrive at your destination. Throughout the past couple of decades, some spots of wear and tear are inevitable, but overall the interior should be a massive hit with minimalists and Japanese nostalgia enthusiasts alike!Powering this rig, the 15B-F is a durable 4.1L diesel known for its prolonged use in Toyota's heavy duty vehicles. Ours springs to life care of 2 new 12v batteries and idles with confidence thanks to a new fuel filter and engine air filter. Aside from a fresh oil and filter service, not much was needed to get this four banger back in tip-top shape, which should stand as a testament to the platform's longevity. The automatic transmission transfers power to the rear four wheels with ease, and this trusty camper can chug along at highway speeds just fine although it feels most comfortable taking the scenic route. We replaced the output shaft seal on the transmission and she runs right as rain now. The suspension bolsters this behemoth quite nicely and feels surprisingly stable over more sizable road imperfections. Additionally, the brakes chomp down with confidence and the power steering allows you to navigate through tighter confines with ease. If that wasn't enough, we put fresh rubber on all four corners, sure to deliver plenty of grip and comfort for wherever your adventures take you!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
