Stock #5944The 100 Series Land Cruiser is a durable body on frame SUV that has a lot to offer. Its larger, more stable footprint makes for a more comfortable ride than its 80 series predecessor, and the stout 4.7 V8 under the bonnet has been championed time and time again as one of Toyota's most bulletproof powerplants. Our 1998 Cruiser is an awful good one, finished in Champagne Pearl (1B1) and offset by just about every factory option in the book. An OEM optional grille, skid plate and front bumper guard frames factory fog lamps and gives the fascia a more menacing look. The rear sports an OEM spare tire swingarm, optional tire cover, OEM roof ladder, factory rainguards, optional chrome door and tail lamp moldings, and an OEM rear bumper applique provide the finishing touches to make this Cruiser stand out from the bunch. Rolling on a new OME 2" lift and factory alloys shod in fresh A/T rubber, this 100 series boasts only 41k verified/documented miles and a recent in-house service by our trained technicians. A 25 year old truck that's cemented itself as one unstoppable all-terrain crusher, this Land Cruiser is nothing less than a definitive Japanese Classic! To the discerning eye, one may notice a surprising amount of these SUV's still cruising around city streets and major highways. We give the interior a lot of credit, as it's packed with amenities, premium leather upholstery, and enough creature comforts to make daily driving a breeze in the 21st century. The leather is a seldom seen option in these interiors and fortunately the previous owner clearly cared about this interior in a prior life, as it shows only some light age related wear around the bolster. The dash materials, carpet, and headliner up above are trimmed in a complementary tan and have resisted any unwanted sun damage, cracking, or fading over the years. Both driver and passenger benefit from power adjustable heated seats, and the driver additionally gains a power tilt/telescoping steering column for optimal comfort behind the wheel. Dual SRS airbags are to be expected in such a modern cabin, and it should give you and your passengers some added peace of mind. Accented by luxurious woodgrain accents, the lower dash trim houses functional OEM audio and an easy to use automatic climate control system. Cold A/C pumps throughout the cabin via dual-zone controls and can easily reach your final three occupants in the third row. If the whole family isn't in tow, the third row seating can stow against the D-pillars and the middle bench flips forward to create a wide berth of cargo space in the rear. All four power windows work well, and the power locks and folding mirrors function as advertised. Even the factory moonroof slides fore and aft without hesitation should you prefer some more natural ventilation throughout the interior. Privacy tint keeps any prying eyes away from your precious cargo and the factory curtains can be deployed if you need to catch some shuteye in the reclining rear seats. Overall, it's hard to pick apart such a well cared for cabin. The active height controls no longer operate, and the rear cupholder assembly is broken, but that does little to take away from the interior's appeal as a whole. Under the bonnet, Toyota's 2UZ-FE has already made a decent name for itself by powering numerous trucks and SUV's offered to the US market. Ours is fresh off a recent service and cranks over swiftly care of a new 12v battery. We shored up the V8 with a fresh air filter and fuel filter, and a fresh oil/filter service provides the lubrication needed for seamless operation from around town jaunts to longer highway excursions and beyond. The automatic transmission works in tandem with full time 4WD and this one can hold its own off the beaten path as well! The factory height adjustable suspension has been ditched in favor of a more hassle free traditional strut/spring setup, and we bolstered the brand new components with an Old Man Emu 2" lift to give this one the clearance needed to soar over trails and other loose terrain. The ABS brakes bite hard under load and the power steering points this behemoth wherever you desire. Additionally, we chucked on 4 new Falken All Terrains and performed a fresh alignment up on our lift to get her tracking straight for the road ahead! *California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
