Stock #5901Prior to the introduction of Toyota's 100 series Land Cruiser, body on frame SUV's were seen as unforgiving brutes that were quite tough, yet lacking in refinement. This 1998 Cruiser shattered all stereotypes when it emerged onto the market. It's durable, comfortable, and the closest thing you can find to a luxury SUV on our lot! Finished in Pearl White Mica (057), it's quite the looker too, and is set off by an OEM front lip, rear spoiler, optional hardshell tire cover, and a sleek set of factory rainguards. Showing only a few slight chips and dings from daily use, and racking up a mere 65k miles over the years, this rig is in great shape overall and is primed and ready for a fruitful life stateside. When an SUV is as capable off the beaten path as it is navigating daily duty or a cross-country highway trip, you know you've got a real deal Japanese Classic! The cabin is in above average shape overall and is packed to the gills with premium materials and power amenities. Typically removed for extra cargo space, the desirable factory third row is present in this Cruiser increasing the occupancy to 8 passengers. The seats are upholstered in a durable tan cloth and have resisted any major wear and tear outside of a couple minor stains. Additional materials show well, from the matching cloth inserts in the door cards to the headliner and carpeting beneath. The dash is soft to the touch and integrates automatic HVAC and climate controls into one simple to use multifunction display screen. For an all weather warrior, Cold A/C and hot heat are easy to cycle between, with dual-zone capability should your rearmost passengers decide to adjust the cabin temp to their liking. The audio quality is crisp and clear overall, and the unit is in good shape and lacks most of the typical UV damage we see on these. Power windows, locks, and electric folding side mirrors aid accessibility, and the third row can be stowed away alongside a folding middle bench to maximize trunk space. Dual SRS airbags work in tandem with ABS to keep occupants safe and we retained some factory literature and OEM carpet mats to protect this nearly perfect cabin.Under the hood, stateside enthusiasts will be pleased to see a familiar face in the 2UZ-FE. This makes parts availability and serviceability a cakewalk, and this V8 is legendary! It cranks over with haste, care of a new 12v battery, and an oil and filter service was performed to get you on track for scheduled maintenance. For a bit of a preventative tune-up, we've gone ahead and replaced the engine air filter so this 8 Cylinder can breathe ease and rocket right up to highway speeds without hesitation. A smooth-shifting automatic gearbox transfers power to a full-time 4WD system, and a factory center locker can be deployed alongside 4WD low if you become entrenched in some less-than-ideal terrain. We refreshed the suspension with new shocks all the way around and we changed both CV axles up front to ensure reliable power transfer. The power steering is featherweight and easy to maneuver, the ABS brakes reel this behemoth in when needed, and we changed out the pads and rotors up front so this truck can stop on a dime. The Yokohama Geolandars were recently installed and pay dividends on and off loose surfaces, and this truck should be ready to tackle tough terrain for miles and miles to come!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
