Stock #6219
Stock #6219We don't believe in speaking with bias here at the dealership, but it's hard to look at a JZS161 Aristo and not fall in love. A perfect harmony of luxury build quality and raw sports car potential, Toyota's second generation of the model is one of their best yet. These Aristos make for fantastic daily drivers, weekend backroad warriors, and trophy winning show queens! Our 1998 is spruced up a bit already with quality OEM plus and aftermarket modifications and is finished in White Pearl Tricoat (051). 19" BBS RG alloys steal the show and a factory spoiler and rainguards polish off the exterior aesthetic nicely. Save for some small defects in the paintwork, this 93k verified mile big body shows well overall for a 26 year old transporter. For a performance-oriented sedan, these Aristos are as good as it gets and enthusiasts will appreciate the 2JZ-GTE under the bonnet as well. Handsome, durable, and fun to drive overall, there's no other Japanese Classic like it!The exterior is attractive but the interior is equally worth bragging about! Unlike our tired leather guts offered here in the US, the sport cloth on this Vertex Edition is much nicer overall and was clearly well cared for in a prior life as the seats lack any rips, stains, or tears to note. The headliner, carpets, and soft-touch vinyl dash are also in above average shape and appear to have resisted over 25 years of normal wear and tear. For 1998, safety was Toyota's top priority and this 2nd generation Aristo gained dual SRS airbags in the front and sides. Those looking to run the show circuits will appreciate that this interior has the appointments for a full scale audio build, and while the technology could use a nudge into the 21st century, the factory audio was removed in favor of a custom speaker deck and subwoofer enclosure in the rear built by Garage Shoei. In case you were curious, yes, the Rockford Fosgate Punch setup still hits as hard as it did in '98 and should satisfy any car audiophile's discerning palate. The factory touch screen is still present and dual zone climate control works like a charm although we must note it only works on auto mode and the display has dimmed a bit over time. Aiding accessibility, both driver and passenger benefit from power adjustable seating and the pilot gains a tilt and telescoping steering column to boot. All four windows are automatic, and the power locks and electronic folding side mirrors work like new. Preserving this cabin's originality, the factory carpet mats are on hand and we have a bit of the OEM maintenance literature as well. Save for an inoperable main headunit, this is one cherry cockpit!Every enthusiast needs to own a 2JZ-GTE at least once in their lifetime, and the Aristo is a great way to experience the legend firsthand! We've taken care of a comprehensive recent service, and we took care of a new timing belt and water pump to cover you for the next 10 years or 100,000 kilometers. We also replaced the cam seals and front main seal while we were in there and topped everything off with a fresh oil and filter service. A new 12v battery aids ignition and we performed a coolant flush to aid thermal management. We even dropped in a new fuel pump and filter to keep petrol flowing healthily. The twin turbo mill is just as much of a riot as you'd expect and the automatic gearbox does a swell job at throwing the power rearward. New camber arms up front dial in the handling and the power steering is easy to maneuver. Upgraded TRD brakes stop on a dime and ABS is standard for a bit of added safety behind the wheel. The BBS' are shod in brand new all-season rubber. Comfortable for touring and knee deep in tread, they should deliver tens of thousands of miles of grip for the road ahead!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
