Stock #6271As Americans look for frugal ways to get off the beaten path, dart about town, and have overall four wheel drive fun, models like the Suzuki Jimny have never been hotter. Compact and nimble, yet powerful enough to tackle our stateside highways and byways with ease, we love these tiny terrors and our 1998 Jimny Wide is a real head turner with its 2" lift, custom fender flares, 15" Front Line Big Half alloys, and beefy 31" BFG all terrains. Finished in Polar White (26U), and set off by privacy tint and EGR rainguards, this rig has the aesthetics to match and shows well save for some light paint imperfections and surface corrosion on the flare extensions. Better yet, the 75k miles on the clock are documented and verified, which is indicative of how it was cared for in a prior life as well. Simply put this is a cool rig. Capable, stylish, and quirky throughout, why wouldn't we call the Jimny a Japanese Classic! The cabin is a comfortable place to be overall and the matching Recaro SR3 buckets really elevate the driving experience overall. Best of all, the materials are all in great shape, down to the vinyl dash which shows no typical distortion or cracking from daily use. The center stack is easy to navigate, and frames accessible climate control and Carrozzeria audio. For an all weather warrior, the A/C blows ice cold for warmer months and hot heat is on tap for the fall and winter. The flimsy factory steering wheel was replaced with a Nardi unit that feels much nicer in the palm overall. For a rather barebones truck, power equipment is still abundant, and both power windows, mirrors, and locks work like new. The rear bench is deceptively spacious should you need to tow around two additional passengers, and they can fold flat if extra cargo space is required. Even an SRS airbag is handy on the passenger side so your copilot can stay cool, calm, and collected. The headliner is tidy, and the carpets have been protected by some OEM carpet mats. Overall the interior equipment impresses as a whole, but it's the condition that drives this deal home. Save for a nick below the passenger airbag, it's more than ideal for future adventures!Body on frame SUV's are few and far between these days, especially in a pint sized package that delivers heaps more off-road capability than most competitors. The Jimny is powered by the frugal and reliable G13B four cylinder. This 1298cc mill is fresh off an oil and filter service and starts right up care of a new 12v battery. In excellent operation and easy to navigate on our stateside highways and byways, the 1.3l gets up to highway speeds without a hitch and the automatic transmission throws power smoothly to a selective transfercase. The system is easy to operate, and this 'zuki has the ability to select between 2WD, 4WD High, or 4WD Low. If maximizing fuel economy is the goal, the rear wheels can be powered alone and this petite rig is fairly frugal. The lifted suspension improves this platform's capability tenfold and rough terrain is no match for the Jimny's short wheelbase, although we must admit the combination feels a bit floaty at interstate speeds. Still, we installed all new tie rods up front to get the drivetrain into compliance. The brakes are confident and the power steering is on point and light. BFGoodrich All Terrains round off the no-holds-barred aesthetic and are knee deep in tread. They look great, drive smoothly, and we performed a fresh four wheel alignment here to keep you tracking straight for tens of thousands of miles to come!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
