Exterior Overview
When Nissan debuted the R33 it was met with a mixed response. As years went on, it’s clear the brand penned a sport coupe with a lot of staying power, and enthusiasts have come to love this endearing turbo tourer. Our 1998 40th anniversary model boasts updated curvaceous styling, an OEM optional Type M lip kit, a rear spoiler, and 17″ Weds SA90 alloys. It also touts 132k verified and documented miles on the clock, and is finished in a lusterous Black Pearl (KH3). The cosmetics are in above-average shape, and aside from a few minor paint defects this R33 shows well, and is an honest example. The drivetrain is good as gold too, boasting a turbo manual platform beloved by Nissan nuts across the globe. The GTS25t has cemented its place here on stateside shores, and is at home daily driving our highways and byways, or sitting pretty at the local Cars & Coffee. Wherever it goes, one thing is always for certain. This special edition Skyline is a textbook Japanese Classic.
Interior Overview
The interior is in good shape throughout, from the exclusive patterned cloth upholstery, to the soft touch materials that span the dash and peripherals. Best of all, a full slate of power equipment is on hand to aid daily driving, and this Skyline benefits from functioning heat and A/C, and Bluetooth Pioneer audio. For those who prefer a more analog driving experience, both power windows unfurl to let in some natural ventilation and auditory stimulation from the FGK catback exhaust. A MoMo steering wheel further enhances the driving experience and feels great in the palms of your hands. The power locks, factory keyless entry, and power-folding mirrors work like a charm, improving daily use. The dash is in good shape, showing no discernible defects, and the remaining materials are in good shape, from the rear bench to the headliner above. This example even includes a passenger SRS airbag. Even the optional chrome door sills are intact, and the carpets are in above-average shape for the year. The trunk is spacious and houses your battery, in the spirit of better weight distribution. Save for some discoloration on some of the interior plastics, an inoperable antenna, and some nicks on the door cards, this example should suit its next owner quite well! We also wanted to note the passenger side mirror only adjusts left and right. On the positive side, the OEM carpet mats are included with the purchase of this R33!
Mechanical Overview
It’s fair to say the R33 Skyline didn’t earn its reputation off looks alone. Nissan had the turbocharged I-6 formula down to a science, and the RB25DET under the bonnet of this GTS25-t is a perfect fit. To ensure this RB runs tip-top, we performed some beneficial preventative maintenance, starting with a new 12v battery that was installed to aid ignition. From there, we tended to a valve cover gasket job, which we buttoned up before we performed an oil and filter service. The engine air filter and fuel filter were replaced for good measure, as were six new spark plugs. With the maintenance performed, this R33 jets right up to highway speeds, and shifts are commanded via a slick shifting 5-speed manual gearbox, in which we installed a new clutch and pilot bearing. Power makes it to the rear wheels with haste, and a bit of drivetrain rehab was also performed. Aftermarket coilovers are adjustable and the ride is responsive yet composed over the tarmac. New front caster arms were installed, and a left rear HICAS arm and ball joint ensures your factory 4WS stays functional and on point. The ABS brakes bite with authority, and we wrapped the WEDS in fresh Falken rubber and performed a fresh alignment to ensure this R33 tracks dead straight for the road ahead.

CARB certifications will have to be performed within the state. Depending on the vehicle and any existing modifications will affect the pricing. Typically CARB compliance will range between 5-10K.
