Interior Overview
The cabin features a number of safety features and power amenities. Dual SRS airbags are standard, and the OEM adjustable xenon headlamps allow for better visibility during nighttime. The dashboard features an ergonomic design with a center-mounted gauge suite to keep an eye on this skyline’s vitals. It lacks any cracking or distortion and the center stack is close by and at hand. We have installed a brand new Boss audio head unit so that the new owner can enjoy the hands-free Bluetooth calling and American radio bandwidths absent from the JDM head unit. Mounted above are the digital automatic climate controls. This easy-to-use system can cycle heat through the cabin for the winter ahead and also cools the occupants with cold A/C. The gray accents and sport mesh seats add to the racy aesthetic and the material is in good shape and lacks any major rips, stains, or tears, with matching gray cloth present in the door cards. The driver benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering column to find the ideal driving position. Rare for a vehicle of this vintage, steering wheel shifters are integrated for those who want more control over the gearbox. Power windows, electric locks, and power-folding mirrors all work, making daily use more enjoyable. The headliner and carpets are in good condition and overall it’s clear this cabin was cared for in a prior life. Mechanical Overview
Like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, this Skyine is deceptively quick and handles like a true sports car! Power comes from a potent NEO version of the RB25DET, which is fresh off an oil and filter service. A new 12v battery was installed to aid ignition, and we installed new spark plugs, coil packs, a new engine air cleaner, and a new fuel filter to ensure the 2.5L runs seamlessly. One of our trained techs installed new valve cover gaskets to replaced the leaky old ones, and performed the most expensive preventative maintenance job there is! A new timing belt and water pump were installed, which will save the new Amercian owner some cash and add some peace of mind for those setting out on an immediate road trip. A coolant flush and new thermostat round out the RB’s refresh, and the inline six is linked to a stout automatic gearbox. Shifts are responsive and the gearbox feels strong sending power backward to the rear wheels. Acceleration is impressive and this sedan scoots up to highway speeds quickly. It handles flatly thanks to brand new adjustable coil overs and the reduced fender gaps look damn sexy. New inner and out HICAS cars were required for state inspection purposes and were taken care of while on the lift. The ABS brakes bite down hard and slow this Nissan down in a jiffy. The power-assisted steering is on point and communicative. This sedan drives straight as an arrow thanks to a fresh alignment which will work to prolong tire life. New rubber has been mounted and balanced at each corner to improve road adhesion and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come while.
