Stock #6248
Stock #62481 of 65Sporty, rare, and reliable, there is little to dislike about this lovely little R34. Reimagined for 1998, this rear-driven coupe feels modern and looks about as good as anything on the road today. This example is one of only 65 GTs built in Lightning Yellow. The paint was just redone, and it looks stellar! The iconic profile is instantly recognizable as Japan's premier sports car, set off by OEM six-spoke alloys, privacy tint, and an aggressive OEM optional wing. Fresh off a recent service, including a timing belt and water pump, this turn-key Nissan is offered with a mere 44k verified and documented miles on the clock. With a smooth and efficient inline six under the hood, and a real-deal manual gearbox, this HR34 would make for a fun daily driver, agile autocrosser, or wicked weekend whip! Fun, frugal, and highly collectible, this Japanese Classic won't do you wrong! The cabin is spacious compared to prior versions of the Skyline and the material quality is leagues above R33 and R32 models. Keyless entry allows for easy cabin access, the driver benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering column to find the ideal driving position. Power folding mirrors, electric locks, and power windows all work in typical Nissan fashion making daily use more enjoyable. It is also equipped with the factory xenon headlamps for better illumination during late night drives. Dual SRS airbags are standard to add some peace of mind and the dashboard lacks any cracking or fading. An Eclipse touchscreen head unit pipes in the tunes and the digital climate control system above is easy to reach and adjust. Cold A/C and piping hot heat can be mixed through the cabin for year-round use, and the display screen is in good nick. The seats are upholstered in a durable black and gray cloth. They lack any major rips, stains, or tears and add a bit of contrast to the cabin. The headliner, door cards, and carpets are in good shape and have escaped major abuse over the years, as well. Although the fuel warning light works intermittently and that there is a missing climate control knob. Additionally, the trunk opens with the interior lever just fine, but not the key and there is light dash delamination above the center stack. Still, the cabin is impressive, in above-average shape overall, and was clearly cared for overseas. The balanced chassis and RB20DE are a great pairing. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the 2.0L churns to life quickly thanks to a new 12v battery. The inline six runs practically vibration-free and benefits from new valve cover gaskets to keep all that new oil internal. A new fuel filter was installed on the NEO and works to keep unwanted contaminants out of the engine and new spark plugs can be depended on to properly atomize the high test gasoline. Best of all, one of our trained techs took care of the most expensive preventative maintenance item of all. A new timing belt, water pump, and thermostat have been installed, so the American owner can hit the road and enjoy this Nissan immediately after its purchase. The RB is linked to a five-speed manual gearbox. Shifts are rewarding and rowing through the gears is a blast, with no hitches or grinds of note. Power is fed to the rear axle and this coupe is peppy about town and gets up to highway merging speeds without breaking a sweat. It stops quickly too, and ABS is standard equipment. The suspension can handle the rigors of daily use and abuse and feels connected and predictable. The power steering is on point and the grip comes from new all season tires mounted and balanced at each corner. They quiet down the road noise and will provide grip for tens of thousands of miles to come.*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
