A proper executive sedan should deliver a refined ride, oodles of cabin space, and an impressive array of electric amenities. This 1998 Gloria is just such a car, and this clean V6-powered saloon is offered with only 70k verified and documented miles on the ticker. Finished in a classic Dark Gray Mica (KP1), this beautifully proportioned Nissan is set off by a set of OEM rainguards for that factory-fresh look. Aside from a few light dings, chips, and touchups the body is in good nick and this recently serviced four-door is turn-key ready to rock. As a clean slate for a VIP build, weekend cruiser, or reliable daily driver, this rear-drive five-seater would be ideal, as you might expect from such a timeless Japanese Classic.
The cabin is nicely appointed and was well cared for overseas. The driver benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering column and functional power folding mirrors, power locks, and power windows. These items make daily driving much more enjoyable as does the Kenwood radio upgrade that delivers a crisp audio to supplement the 2.5L soundtrack under the bonnet. Cold A/C and piping hot heat are on demand and can be mixed through the simple-to-use digital automatic climate control system. Head, shoulder, and legroom are abundant and the gray seats, upholstered in a soft cloth, are perfect for long road trips. They are supportive and most importantly lack any major rips, stains, or tears. The carpets are in good nick, and the headliner and door cards are in above-average shape. Even the dashboard lacks any cracking or fading and dual SRS front airbags are standard for those who value safety. Overall, there is little to complain about and even the OEM floor mats, owner manuals, and maintenance booklets are included in the sale!
Under the skin, this sedan is surprisingly modern. Propulsion comes from a buttery smooth VQ25DE. This engine features lightweight aluminum block heads and is fresh off an oil and filter service. It starts up promptly care of a new 12v battery and a new fuel filter was replaced as well. One of our trained techs addressed the leaking rear main seal by replacing it, and now the 2.5L is right as rain. It's linked to a smooth-shifting automatic that sends power to the back axle. The 2.5L makes ample power and blasts down the highway with ease, even on our speedier American interstates. The suspension gobbles up road imperfections with confidence and we replaced the front traction arms and added two new rear struts to give the ride a slight refresh. The power steering is light, yet on point and the ABS brakes have been bolstered with a new set of rear brake pads. The wheels are wrapped in new Falken all-season tires. The new rubber not only reduces road noise but will last for tens of thousands of miles to come. We even aligned this Gloria, too!
