Stock #6259Typically when buying a Land Cruiser, we joke around and say you get everything but the kitchen sink. In terms of this Active Vacation model, you get that too! Our 1998 HDJ101 is a remarkably kept one-owner example of Toyota's first luxury cruiser and is backed by a durable 4.2L turbodiesel drivetrain to boot! Finished in Mahogany Pearl (3N2) and set off by OEM rainguards, factory optional crossbars, and a desirable OEM front winch, the exterior on this VX-Limited is in above average condition and shows just a few swirls, dings, and scratches from daily use. The 87k miles on the clock are also verified and documented, protecting this worthy investment. Ask any Toyota enthusiast, the 100 series receives high praises as-is. Add in a potent diesel and some hard-to-find factory extras and you have the ultimate Japanese Classic SUV!The interior complements the exterior in many ways. It's well constructed, comfortable, and the tan cloth is in great shape. The dash houses dual SRS airbags, and a factory touch screen which seamlessly integrates dual zone climate control and OEM audio. The display looks great for being 25 years young and the A/C blows ice cold to boot. The driver benefits from a tilt adjustable steering column and some additional lumbar support for optimum comfort behind the wheel. The middle row can stow forward for extra cargo space, and the active vacation package can transform into a sleeping platform for weekend glamping excursions. Even an OEM optional camping stove and sink are included! Power windows, locks, and electric folding side mirrors aid accessibility tremendously, and the cabin is free of any excessive wear and tear. To protect your investment, we even retained the OEM owner's manuals and additional factory literature, clear indicators this Cruiser was well cared for in a prior life.Toyota's been known to engineer some excellent diesel drivetrains. Efficient, torquey, and easy to service, we're big fans of the 1HD platform and this 24v 1HD-FTE may be the best layout we've seen! Better yet, it's fresh off a recent in-house service and springs to life care of two new 12v batteries. A courtesy oil and filter service was performed, and we replaced both diesel fuel filters to ensure your fuel stays free of unwanted contaminants. With the maintenance performed this one owner hauler drives right as rain, as you'd expect, and the automatic gearbox throws power to the full time 4WD system without issue. Keeping safety a top priority, we replaced some leaky front shocks with new ones and installed new pads and rotors up front for the ABS brakes. This truck starts, steers, and stops as you'd expect and the ride feels luxurious overall, with feather weight steering to boot. We replaced the tires with brand new Yokohama Geolandars. They look great, ride even better, and are primed to deliver plenty of grip, if your adventures take you on or off the beaten path!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
