This sporty three-door 1997 Land Cruiser Prado is a special rig! Made for adventurers, enthusiasts, and those with a free spirit, this overlander is perfect to take to the beach or get lost in the back roads. Boasting only 139k verified and documented miles, this truck is finished in a classic Deep Jewel Green over Gray Metallic two-tone (K11). Set off by a factory rear window applique, 16" aftermarket alloys and menacing 33" all terrain Rubber, this Toyota is in fine shape aside from some light dings, chips, and scuffs associated with normal use. Unique, capable, reliable, and fun, this head-turner would be a great daily driver or a worthy weekend warrior!

The cabin is leagues ahead of its previous generation. You'd expect it, but it is built with abundant power options and quality safety equipment. Sitting far above traffic, the vision gained from the captain's seat is expansive and makes navigating the road a breeze. Dual SRS airbags up front are a welcome addition, and should give you and your passengers some peace of mind behind the wheel. The dash is free of any discoloration or cracks and is trimmed in a complementary grey vinyl. A factory field monitor sits atop the dash and displays some useful metrics, and a Pioneer headunit works like a charm, with MP3 functionality should you choose to soundtrack your own drive. Being a compact SUV, you might have to squeeze in some tight spaces, and power folding mirrors can assist when doing so. Don't fret during the sweltering summer, the privacy tint has a mirrored finish and will help keep out onlookers and the heat, but if you'd rather feel the breeze instead of the ice cold A/C, both power windows function well up front and the rear quarter glass pops out to boot. The seats are finished in a durable patterned cloth and are devoid of most serious rips and tears. The remaining upholstery shows well overall, however there is some slight delamination happening to the door cards and the rear hatch is missing a door net. The carpet and headliner are in good nick and have only succumbed to a few stains over the past couple of decades. The rear bench can squeeze in a few little ones or the family dog, and it has the ability to fold fully forward should you need to prioritize cargo space. Overall, the 90 series' interior does a fine job of excelling in utility and comfort, and it holds up surprisingly well to modern offerings.

A platform that needs little introduction, the intercooled 1KZ-TE under the hood is time and time again the most rewarding powerplant for this chassis. Ours is also fresh off a recent service in house, where we went ahead and replaced the fuel filter and air filter to save this 3.0 from any unwanted gunk. We also installed a new A/C belt to reliably drive your compressor during these hot summer months. This trusty four banger is fresh off an oil and filter service which is sealed up with a new valve cover gasket up top. The 12V battery was also replaced and this one cranks over without a hitch! Due to its relatively small footprint, this Prado is a blast to putt around town or take on the highway if you so desire. An automatic transmission throws power into a selective transfercase and if you get stuck you can rely on a center locking differential or throw the truck into 4WD low. We even replaced the output seal at the rear of the transfercase to shore up the drivetrain a hair. For 25 year old suspension, the factory struts feel composed over sizable road imperfections and are quite comfortable. The power steering is light and on point, and the standard ABS brakes benefit from new pads all the way around to ensure you'll be able to stop safely for the near future. Further aiding grip, looks, and comfort, the massive Falken rubber is brand new should last for tens of thousands of miles to come!
