There's simply nothing like a dependable Toyota sedan. For those seeking the same reliability but wishing to escape the malaise of our stateside Camrys and Avalons, this JZX100 is the ticket! Our 1998 Tourer S is finished in Pearl White Tri-coat (047) and is set off by a FRP front lip, side skirts, and rear bumper. The full aero looks great and is coupled with an OEM rear spoiler and rainguards to finish off the aesthetic. To the untrained eye, this sedan looks better than most tourer V's on the road and the rare 18" OZ Racing alloys fill in the wheel arch nicely. Fresh off a recent service, this lovely rear drive sedan touts only 89k verified and documented miles on the clock. Easy to own, drive, and service, there are not many Japanese Classics as valuable as this Chaser!

The interior is practical, spacious, and plenty comfortable for day-to-day excursions. The seats are upholstered in a durable patterned cloth and dual SRS airbags are present in both the front and sides to maximize safety behind the wheel. The dash has succumbed to some typical light UV distortion over the years around the defrost vents but other than that shows well overall, resisting most of the typical defects seen on interiors of this vintage. The center stack is finished in a factory carbon trim and frames a more modern Kenwood audio system with integrated Bluetooth capability if you prefer to listen to your own soundtrack over the 1JZ's. The driver can tilt and telescope the steering column at will, and power windows, locks, and power-folding side mirrors are on hand to assist accessibility when daily driving. The rear bench is plenty spacious for additional occupants and the boot is huge if you have extra luggage or groceries in tow. The headliner and door cards are in good nick and the carpets have resisted major abuse over the last 25 years. Overall, this JZX's cockpit earns high marks for its accessibility, comfort, and capability. We even retained the factory floor mats, owner manuals, and maintenance booklets to include with the purchase of this Toyota.

Under the bonnet, Toyota's 1JZ-GE packs in plenty of ponies and is simple to drive and maintain, making stateside ownership a breeze. Ours is primed and ready with a oil and filter service just performed and we chucked in a new 12v battery to aid ignition. The VVT-i engages rapidly on this 2.5l and this sedan has no issues climbing up to highway speeds. The automatic gearbox is geared nicely for freeway driving and power is sent rearward should you ever choose to break the tires loose. The Blitz coilover suspension gobbles up road imperfections with nary a squeak or rattle and the steering is tight and direct too. The ABS brakes clamp down with force, and we wrapped the wheels in brand-new Falken tires to deliver reliable, comfortable grip for tens of thousands of miles to come.
