We get asked all the time about the most bang for your buck here at the dealership and at this point it's hard to not identify the 2nd generation Aristo as a top contender. The 2JZ-GTE under the bonnet is a pricey engine in its own right and we'd argue it almost works better hauling passengers around on a road trip. Our 1997 V300 shows just 29k miles on the clock, and while documentation indicates a replacement of the gauge cluster by Toyota in Japan at 6522 km, this figure is unverified and the vehicle is being sold with not actual miles due to this cluster swap. The Black (202) paint shows well overall and this Vertex edition is set off by an OEM rear spoiler, factory rainguards, and 16" polished alloys. Save for a few imperfections this sedan is no worse for the wear and has a legendary drivetrain that's barely broken in. Unassuming, comfortable, and modification-friendly, this Aristo is a Japanese Classic like no other!

For decades, stateside Lexus enthusiasts lusted over the Aristo's premium cloth upholstery and we can confirm it's as nice as it appears! Clearly cared for in a prior life, the two tone cloth shows no rips, stains, or tears to note and the matching inserts in the door cards are in good nick too. Save for some slight distortion around the defrost vents, the vinyl trimmings on the dash and door cards have held up well and the integrated touch screen is easy to navigate, with dual zone climate control allowing your passenger to adjust cold A/C and hot heat to their personal preference. The adjacent JBL premium audio system sounds swell, and this Aristo also benefits from factory cruise control. Further aiding daily driving ease, all four power windows unfurl, and the power locks and power folding mirrors work too! Both forward seats are power adjustable and the driver also gains a tilt and telescoping steering column to accommodate pilots of all shapes and sizes. For some added safety behind the wheel, Toyota bolstered this cockpit with dual front and side SRS airbags too! The headliner is tidy and the carpets beneath have been sheathed by some premium OEM mats. If we were to critique this cabin at all, the screen is starting to fade and there's some typical wear to the touch points, but overall this 27 year old transporter really impresses inside!

The JZS161 Aristo was Toyota's best kept secret and the VVT-i 2JZGTE is a big reason why. Easy to own and modify, enthusiasts can't get enough of this formidable I6 and our trained technicians have knocked out a tune-up on this one to get you on track for the road ahead. We dropped in a new 12v battery and changed the oil and filter, and installed new spark plugs across the board to avoid any unwanted hiccups. The powerband is linear and potent and you can cruise the interstate as easily as you rocket from light to light. The automatic gearbox features a selective manual mode and throws power rearward down the long wheelbase. You'd expect a luxury sport vehicle to be comfortable on longer drives, and we replaced all four strut assemblies to eat up road imperfections with ease. The power assisted steering is nicely weighted while still feeling sporty, and the ABS brakes are bolstered by new front pads and rotors and clamp down hard if you spot the boys in blue. Further aiding grip, comfort, and safety in inclement weather, we mounted new all-season tires on all four corners, sure to return their investment for tens of thousands of miles to come!
