The V45 Mitsubishi Pajero is a whole lot of SUV for the money. Versatile third-row seating, a state-of-the-art transfer case, and a punchy GDI V6 are just a few standard amenities that make these such formidable rigs. If that wasn't good enough, these lovable trucks drive just as well as other offerings at nearly twice the price! Our 1997 model is as good of an example as any, boasting 89k verified/documented miles on the clock and a few choice factory options. Finished in Anchorage Grey over Munich Silver (BA7D), the exterior shows well overall. Accentuated by a set of OEM rainguards, enthusiasts will love the timeless off-road-inspired styling. Save for some expected dings, chips, and scuffs along the exterior, there's not much to complain about. Mitsubishi was really at the top of its game in the late 90s, and the Pajero is a testament to the company's dedication to innovation and bulletproof reliability. Comfortable enough to be daily driven, while capable enough to traverse off the beaten path without breaking a sweat, our Pajero V6 is a Japanese Classic in every essence of the term.

The interior is just about as comfortable and cutting-edge as the rest of Mitsubishi's offerings at the time. The dash and its trimmings are finished in grey over faux wood grain, and fortunately, the dash materials have resisted any serious cracking, peeling, or other miscellaneous UV distortion typically seen on vehicles of this vintage. The center stack houses a fully functional digital automatic climate control unit, ripe with Cold A/C and hot heat for those in cooler climates. A Kenwood head unit adds a touch of modernity to the cabin, and sounds good to boot! The upholstery is in good nick as well. Trimmed in a durable ivory cloth, the seating has held up remarkably well over the years, save for some expected age-related staining from normal day-to-day use. For those looking to haul a full squad of passengers, a third row is easily accessible and can stow away against the D pillars if needed. The middle row also folds fully flat to maximize cargo space, as well! Also assisting all passengers are a full suite of power windows, power locks, and power mirrors are at the driver's disposal as well. These all work as expected save for the power folding feature of the side mirrors. Paired with a large power moonroof, this massive glass panel unfurls at the press of a button should you prefer a more open-air driving experience. As expected for a feature-rich SUV, dual SRS airbags are standard and should provide some extra reassurance if things go awry on the road. Overall, the cabin was clearly well preserved in a prior life and should suit its next owner well. We've even retained the factory all-weather floor liners, easily detachable from the carpeted units should you need to clean off any muck or grime from future off-road excursions!

While stateside buyers putted around for years in sluggish, petrol-powered SUV's, Mitsubishi had the formula figured out from the beginning, equipping these Pajeros with a punchy 3.5 GDI V6. Luckily, parts for these are still abundantly available stateside, and our trained technicians have done the legwork needed to get this one up to snuff for the road ahead. Apparently, this rig was cared for quite well in a prior life, as we only needed to replace the A/C compressor to ensure good operation. We also swapped out the battery with a brand new one, and she cranks over the first time, every time! The V6 idles smooth and confident, while also benefiting from a fresh oil and filter service. Acceleration is potent, and this determined Pajero is more than capable of keeping up with the zippy hybrids and turbocharged motors of the 21st century. Shifts through the tiptronic gearbox are rapid and direct, and the super select 4WD system works as intended. For those on the go, all four wheels can be engaged at speeds up to 60MPH, so you can leave those Toyotas in the dust on the trails. It even has a center locker for loose surfaces! The suspension features adjustable dampers, and this one glides over even the harshest of road imperfections. The ABS brakes bite hard when called upon, and for even more stopping power and grip, we've wrapped the factory alloys in fresh all-terrain Kuhmo rubber, sure to suit you well for tens of thousands of miles to come!
