The third generation Cima was designed properly from its inception and has aged gracefully, in our opinion. A modern VQ30DET powers the rear wheels, as it should in any luxury sedan, and this safe and spacious five-seater floats over uneven pavement and rough city roads. This 1997 was cared for in a prior life, and is a single-owner vehicle. Finished in White Platinum Pearl over Titanium Gray (1S1), the body and paint are in good nick aside from some light dings, chips, and scuffs associated with normal use. Fresh off a recent service, this unmolested saloon is offered with a mere 15k documented and verified miles. This Cima would be a great candidate for a comfortable daily driver, weekend cruiser, or blank-slate platform for a unique VIP build. No matter how you put it to use, this special Nissan is turn-key ready to rock, and is a certified Japanese Classic!

The cabin is more akin to a time capsule than a 25-year-old vehicle. With so few miles it's likely that the interior would be in such great nick, and it was clearly cared for by its one prior owner. The dashboard looks more modern than most sedan we come across, with wood grain trim accenting the light tan color palette. Dual SRS airbags are on standby and the dashboard itself lacks any cracking or distortion. The center stack includes a functional OEM audio system and a simple-to-use digital climate control unit. The A/C blasts cold and the sound quality emanating from the speakers is above average. These items make daily use enjoyable as do the working power locks, electric folding mirrors, and door locks. Unlike many vehicles from this era, factory cruise control is equipped and could be helpful should this Cima turn into your commuter vehicle. The front seats are powered and the driver benefits from an adjustable steering column to find the perfect driving position. The headliner and door cards are in good nick, as is the carpet. Even the optional (and expensive) plush, stylized OEM floor mats are included for the next owner and the original owner's manual, too!

Under the hood is a compact, silky smooth turbo V6. The modern VQ series of engines did very well for Nissan and this 3.0L is fresh off an oil and filter service. The power delivery is incredible with gobs of low-down torque and is lightweight thanks to aluminum construction. The mill is fresh off an oil and filter service and starts up with the twist of the key. A new 12v battery aids ignition and the VQ30DET idles with confidence. To keep her topped up on oil a new rear main seal was installed by one of our trained technicians. Mated to a slick-shifting automatic gearbox, the Cima accelerates better than you'd expect, and sustained highway cruising is what this sled was made for. Potholes large and small are gobbled up by the OEM suspension and the brakes are tight and tidy. The power steering is light, yet on point, and the CIMA goes right where you point it! The tires on the factory alloys are full of tread and ride quietly as they should.
