The final iteration of the legendary Bluebird, this SSS model makes for a really fun front-drive sports sedan. The lively chassis, revvy SR powerplant, and manual gearbox make for a wonderful combination, and the interior is nothing less than breathtaking. Finished in a Dark Purplish Blue Pearl (KN6) this sedan is set off by OEM rainguards, privacy tint, and refinished Watanabe RS8 wheels. We wanted to note the passenger fender was replaced in Japan, there's a sizable dent beneath the drivers side skirt, and a few light dings, chips, and scuffs associated with normal use, but as a whole the body and paint are in good shape. Fresh off a recent service, this chuckable five-seater is offered with a mere 84k verified and documented miles on the clock. Reliable enough to be daily driven yet fun enough for a weekend at the track, this affordable Japanese Classic is turn-key ready to tear up some tarmac on a road near you!

The highlight of the cabin has to be the houndstooth upholstery. The matching material contrasts the leather accents and is found in the door cards too! Like the seats, they lack any major rips, stains, or tears and add a fantastic contrast to the cabin. Other upgrades include a functional touchscreen Pioneer audio system and a carbon fiber Nismo shift knob. The rest of the interior is largely as it left the factory and even an original Bluebird brochure is located in the glovebox. The dash above lacks any cracking or fading and houses dual front SRS airbags for those who may be safety conscious. OEM Xenon headlamps are ideal for night time driving, properly illuminating the road ahead. The center stack also includes functional automatic climate control, which can mix heat and A/C depending on the driver's preference. Power folding mirrors, power windows, and electric locks are all functional and make daily use more enjoyable. Even an adjustable steering wheel is standard. The headliners and door cards are in good shape and the carpets have been protected with OEM carpet mats which we are happy to pass on to the new buyer. Overall it's hard to complain about this cabin, and the lack of squeaks and rattles is impressive!

Under the sloped bonnet resides a punchy naturally aspirated SR20DE. This dual overhead cam mill is fresh off an oil and filter service and churns to life promptly care of a new 12v battery. The 2.0L idles with confidence and sounds fantastic thanks to a polished NISMO exhaust. The little SR is linked to a close ratio five-speed manual gearbox. Shifts are notchy and direct and the transmission lacks any grinds or hitches. Power is fed to the front wheel and acceleration is more than adequate for daily use. Merging up to highway speeds is a fun and stress-free affair, and from stoplight to stoplight, the Bluebird does well. The ABS brakes reel this thing in from those higher speeds with ease thanks to the light curb weight. The power-assisted steering is direct. We did replace a power steering line for some additional peace of mind for the American owner. The adjustable coilovers reduce the fender gap and allow this saloon to corner flatly. It is a bit firmer than stock but the dampers certainly don't beat you up. The alloys are wrapped in new Falken tires that quell road noise and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come.
