Stock #6144Determined, refined, and unique this 1997 Land Cruiser is a true Japanese Classic. Its off-road DNA makes this a wonderful SUV for year-round use, and the platform shares most major mechanicals with our 4Runners, making service and maintenance options easy as pie. Finished in a crisp Arctic White (056), this Prado is set off by a set of refinished 80 Series alloys and OEM rainguards. Aside from a few light dings, chips, and scuffs the paint is in good nick, and this rig is fresh off a recent service. Having logged a mere 126k verified and documented miles, this intercooled diesel is barely broken in and retail-ready to be driven off the lot. Featuring seating for eight, full-time 4WD, and loads of safety items and power amenities, these Land Cruisers make for ideal year-round daily drivers. Capable, collectible, and cool this Japanese Classic is a legend! The cabin is spacious, ergonomic, and full of premium materials. The dashboard lacks any cracking or fading and houses dual front SRS airbags for some additional peace of mind. An OEM field monitor sits front and center relaying information about the outside conditions to the driver. Directly below is the center stack which includes an upgraded Kenwood headunit. The sound quality is decent and it includes an auxiliary input for your smartphone. Adjacent, the automatic dual-zone climate system features easy-to-use controls and supplies the cabin with functional heat and air conditioning. If you prefer more natural ventilation, power windows, and an electric sunroof can be unfurled. Power locks and power-folding mirrors work like a charm and make daily use more enjoyable. The seats are in above-average shape, lacking any major rips, stains, or tears. The optional third row is equipped and folds away to be stowed on the D-pillar. The middle bench also tumbles forward to create a large cargo loading space. The door cards, headliner, and carpets have withstood the past 25 years without major abuse, and aside from some wear on the soft-touch plastics and a broken cup holder cover, it's really hard to complain about this example. Under the skin this Cruiser shares a platform with our Stateside 4Runner. This makes parts and service a snap, and this rig is fresh off an oil and filter service. It churns to life promptly care of a new 12v battery and a new fuel filter has been installed to keep the 1KZ-TE happy. One of our trained techs addressed the old leaking valve cover and has replaced it with a new one and the shifter bushings were replaced to shore up the powertrain. Linked to a stout automatic gearbox, this J95 is peppy about town, and happy to blast down the interstate at 75 mph. For beach outings, snow, and mud, the low-range 4WD can be engaged as well as a locking center differential. The transfer case benefits from a new front output seal as well. The suspension provides tons of ground clearance and delivers a soft ride that nicely insulates occupants from rougher pavement. New rear upper control arms were installed with a set of new rear shocks to improve ride quality. New inner and outer tie rods were installed on the front right for state inspection, and the light power steering is easy to articulate and the truck goes right where you point it. The ABS brakes feel confident and grip is maintained with four brand new 31" Falken all-terrain tires. They quell road noise and most importantly will last for tens of thousands of miles to come. *California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
