Stock #5926In 1992, it was hard to pack more value into an SUV than the Land Cruiser. The 80 Series featured a nearly bulletproof 4.5L engine, tons of power amenities, and one serious offroad pedigree. Finished in a classic Bluish Gray Metallic (183), this stellar rig is set off by OEM rainguards, a factory rear tire swingarm, an imposing polished brushguard, an OEM skid plate, and refinished factory alloys sporting new, chunky 33" Falkens. Even better, off-road enthusiasts will love the optional factory triple lockers and electric winch, and this recently serviced beast touts a mere 85k verified and documented miles. Wonderful as daily drivers, dedicated adventure mobiles, or just reliable family transporters, these terrific Toyotas are respected and collectible Japanese Classics that are built to last! The cabin is about as large as anything we retail and this one has been kept up nicely. It also is in good shape and nicely optioned. Upgrades like the functional OEM sunroof and the OEM heated seats make year-round use more enjoyable. Power windows, electric door locks, and power mirrors all work as advertised, although the power folding function of the side mirrors no longer operates. The driver benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering column and the dashboard lacks any cracking or fading. The dual-zone climate control is standard for third-row-equipped models like this one, and works like a charm. Cold A/C is primed for the summer ahead and the heat will be useful later in the year, undoubtedly. The Alcantara upholstery is in above-average shape and lacks any major rips, stains, or tears. The third row can be removed or folded into the D-pillar and the middle row can fold forward forming a massive cargo hold. The headliner, door cards, and carpets are in fair shape, and even the OEM audio functions. That's not to say the cabin is perfect as there is some wear on the steering wheel and a couple scratches on the interior plastics. Still, at this age, it's in better shape than the US models being sold by a long shot, and even the OEM owner's manuals are included in the sale. Under the skin, the beefy body on frame design is stout and sturdy. While many are used to the lack of drivetrain refinement from most trucks, this VX Limited is the polar opposite. The silky smooth 1FZ-FE powers this Cruiser and is fresh off an oil and filter service, and starts up care of a new 12v battery. One of our trained techs replaced the weary old fuel pump and chucked in a new fuel filter and engine air filter. We didn't stop here as we also replaced the rear main seal. The 4.5L is now running tip top, and the powerplant operates with nary a vibration. It is mated to a strong automatic gearbox that does a decent job of maximizing its midrange punch. Power is fed through a full-time 4WD system to all four wheels, but this Land Cruiser has some additional tricks up its sleeve. Triple locking differentials and Low-4WD are poised to be engaged, ensuring this Landy can get you out of the worst scenarios. It's also quite good on the highway, and the long wheelbase and predictable suspension are ideal for a long road trip. The brakes feel confident and the power steering is light and easy to articulate. The black factory alloys are all shod with new 33" all-terrain Falkens we mounted and balanced at all four corners. The new rubber not only looks mean but will provide tens of thousands of miles of grip no matter the weather! *California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
