Stock #6367The Isuzu VehiCROSS was an engineering and styling revolution when it debuted, and this 1997 is a wonderful example of a Japanese Classic. With its short overhangs, BorgWarner designed 4WD system, and remote reservoir suspension, this tough truck is a formidable off-roader. On the pavement, its reliable V6, Recaro interior and power amenities allow this SUV to be daily driven and enjoyed. Finished in a classic Ebony Black (826) this three-door Ute is set off by an OEM rear spoiler. Aside from a few light dings, chips and scuffs the paint is in good shape and this rig is fresh off a recent service. Offered with a mere 63k verified and documented miles, this truck is barely broken in and turn key ready to roll. Perfect for a weekend camping trip, daily use, or a trip to REI, this jaw-dropping Isuzu will do the trick! The cabin is in good nick and was cared for overseas in Japan. The highlight has to be the Recaro seats, which are bolstered aggressively and keep the front occupants from sloshing about. Even adjustable, pull out thigh bolsters are integrated into the seats, improving leg circulation and aiding comfort. The multicolor cloth lacks any major rips, stains or tears and is in good nick. Dual SRS front airbags are standard and the driver benefits from a tilt adjustable steering column and a stylish OEM MOMO steering wheel. The dashboard lacks any cracking or fading and is contoured much like a modern car. The power windows, door locks, and electric folding mirrors also work like a charm, making daily use more enjoyable. A USDM Boss radio offers Bluetooth functionality and fills the cabin with tunes hanks to new speakers. The door cards are in good shape, as are the carpets, and the cargo area has escaped the past 25 years without sustaining major abuse. Aside from some cracked trim in the center stack and a tiny bit of adhesive on the headliner, it's really hard to complain about the condition of the cabin. When Isuzu penned this design they envisioned a true off-roader. Power comes from a compact 3.2L V6, which is fresh off an oil and filter service. It cranks over promptly with the twist of a key, thanks to a freshly installed 12v battery which should last for the next few years to come. To keep the six-pot properly lubricated, the oil pan was resealed and new valve cover gaskets were installed by one of our trained techs. A new set of spark plugs were thrown in too, for good measure. The engine pulls hard to redline and torque is fed through an automatic gearbox. The selective 4WD system includes a setting for low range and can switch between 2WD and 4WD on the fly. The suspension is on the firmer side and can handle the rigors of daily use and abuse. It also crushes off pavement thanks to a factory remote reservoir system! For an SUV, the handling is quite impressive, frankly. The ABS brakes feel confident and the power steering is light and on point thanks to a new alignment. The Falken tires are brand spanking new and were mounted and balanced before this Isuzu headed off to its state inspection. They quiet down the road noise and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come, both on and off the beaten path!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
