Stock #6370The Mitsubishi Pajero is a tough SUV, and it's no secret we're huge fans of the model. Comfortable, capable, and generally less expensive to own and maintain than their Toyota counterparts, this Pajero proves time and time again to be one of the best SUV deals around! Finished in Seattle Silver/Summit White (A71), this 1996 shows well overall and is set off by OEM rainguards, an optional hardshell spare tire cover, and 16" WEDS Keeler alloys. The paintwork shows a few small defects and light clearcoat fade from daily use but overall the cosmetics are in good shape and the 105k miles on the clock are verified and documented, which should make you feel good about the history of this 25 year old truck! Backed by a stout V6 and an award winning Super Select 4WD layout, these Pajero's are ideal for weekend camping trips, beach cruises, or day to day family hauling. Get behind the wheel of this Mitsu and you'll see, you don't have to pay the Toyota tax to experience a great Japanese Classic SUV. Mitsubishi was on their A-game in the 90's, and this interior is a great example of why. Boasting three rows of spacious seating, easy to use power amenities, and a full slate of options and premium materials, this Pajero holds up well to daily use situations even in the 21st century! The seats are upholstered in a durable grey cloth, which has resisted any serious wear and tear outside of some light bolster flattening. The dash is in good shape too and is finished in a matching soft touch grey vinyl. Easy to navigate, the center stack features a simple push button digital climate control system, with front and rear A/C available to cool the cabin during these hot summer months. Adjacent to the HVAC, OEM audio works like a charm and sounds decent for its age. Aiding accessibility, the driver benefits from a tilt adjustable steering column and power windows, locks, and side mirrors are all in good working order. A power moonroof is expansive and functional, but the motor isn't as strong as it used. Opening and closing the glass is a dreadfully slow affair, but on the positive side, it seals out water and adds a lot of natural light to the cabin, making the cockpit feel larger. The rear bench can carry a few additional companions, and the third row can rapidly deploy from the d-pillars if a full squad is in tow. The roof has plenty of headroom, and the headliner is tight and tidy above. Even the factory carpet mats are in great shape, and we've retained the factory owner's manual for good measure!Fresh off a bevy of recent service, the 6G72 under the bonnet is a durable mill and has plenty of power and torque for your adventures on and off the beaten path. It cranks over with haste thanks to a new 12v battery and idles with confidence, with a fresh engine air filter and fuel filter keeping the 3.0 free of any unwanted contaminants. A new alternator keeps your accessories charged and a new front main seal and valve cover gaskets were installed to keep all lubrication from the fresh oil and filter service internal. The V6 cruises up to highway speeds without a hitch thanks to fresh spark plugs and an automatic gearbox delivers power via a selective transfercase. Able to switch between drive modes on the fly, the SuperSelect system is no joke and we changed out the shifter seal, rear differential pinion seal, and front differential cover to make sure the system stays leak free and in good operation. Best of all, a locking center differential was spec'd on this model so off road excursions can be taken with confidence. The suspension is comfortable and compliant over road imperfections large and small, and we replaced the rear sway bar links with new ones to keep the handling compliant. The steering is easy to maneuver, and the brakes have been bolstered with new pads and rotors up front. The last line of defense between you and the pavement, we wrapped the WEDS in new Falken all terrain rubber. Good looking, chock full of tread, and comfortable to drive on, they'll keep you covered for the road ahead, no questions asked!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
