We wished to note prior repairs in Japan include a replacement rear bumper, and aside from some light dings, chips, and scuffs the paint is in fine shape overall. The cabin is spacious and includes plenty of power and safety features. The view of the road ahead is clear and commanding, and the front passengers receive standard front SRS airbags. What makes the cabin even more unique is the special dark charcoal upholstery. Rarely optioned, it's in above-average shape and lacks any major rips, stains, or tears. The driver can adjust the steering column to find the ideal driving position, and even has a seat-mounted lever that can adjust lumbar support for added comfort. The dash itself is in good shape and lacks any cracking. The OEM audio was ditched in Japan for an upgraded Pioneer unit. It works as it should and even includes Bluetooth capability. Mounted adjacent is a simple-to-use automatic climate control system. Air conditioning is handy for hot summers, but you'll likely be enjoying the piping-hot heat this time of year. Power windows, door locks, and mirrors make daily use more enjoyable and all work properly, aside from the power fold function. If you have a furry friend even the rear glass powers down electrically for a light breeze and some slobber relief! The headliner, door cards, and carpets are in good shape and have withstood major abuse over the years. Even the fashionable multicolored factory carpeted mats are included in the sale to prevent future damage! All in all, it's really hard to complain about the cabin and it appears well-loved by the owners in Japan.

When you think about servicing, this truck is about as easy as it gets. Like American 4Runners, this rig is powered by the reliable, efficient and durable 3RZ-FE. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the 2.7L whirrs to life care of a new 12v battery we installed in our shop. To keep the four-banger running tip-top, one of our trained techs has replaced the spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor. The power plant idles with confidence and is linked to a slick-shifting automatic gearbox. Shifts are reassured and the driver can choose to send power to the rear wheels or all four through a selective transfer case. If you encounter snow or sand, 4WD low is also on stand-by to multiply torque! The 3RZ accelerates nearly as well as the thirstier V6, and getting up to and sustaining highway speeds is stress-free. If you need to clamp down on the brakes, standard ABS can jump in and prevent a lockup. The new front brake pads don't hurt either. The suspension allows for tons of ground clearance and can soak up large and small road imperfections with confidence. The power steering is light and on point and the 16" wheels are all rocking new 31" Falken tires at all four corners. The new rubber quiets down the ride a touch, but most importantly will last for tens of thousands of miles to come.
