When you think of a luxury sedan a few things come to mind, such as comfort, class, and style. The Toyota Aristo checks all of those boxes and then some, throwing power and stellar handling into the mix, resulting in one of the most well-rounded vehicles we've imported to date. This 1997 V300 example boasts only 65k verified and documented miles and is finished in a beautiful Dark Blue Mica (8T5). The exterior shows extremely well aside from some expected chips, dings, and scratches, and is devoid of any unnecessary aftermarket modification. Notable repairs in Japan do list a replacement bumper cover, but this freshly serviced Aristo is still perfectly suited for weekend cruise, a Car's & Coffee, or daily use. The interior has been extremely well cared for over the years, and features plenty of power amenities and premium materials. The dash is trimmed in a luxurious brown tortoise trim and it shows well, with no cracking or sun fading, and even features Toyota's optional clean box. Dual-zone digital automatic climate control is fully operational, with cold A/C and hot heat on demand keeping the interior comfortable in any climate. The factory head unit is still fully functional and supplies crisp and clear sound throughout the cabin. Power windows, power-folding mirrors, and power locks are all close by, and you'll even receive two keys. Adding peace of mind for the driver, Toyota equipped the Aristo with dual front SRS airbags, along with an automatic tilt and telescoping steering column to allow for the perfect driving position. Impressively it even has dual side SRS airbags as well. Both the driver and passenger seats benefit from 8-way power adjustability, with adjustable driver's lumbar support coming in handy for those long road trips. The gray cloth upholstery presents nicely and the seats are plush and soft to the touch, with only light wear on the driver seat. The headliner and carpets have resisted any major wear, and aside from light scuffs on the door cards, this interior is nearly flawless. It’s clear to us that this Aristo was well cared for in a prior life, and even includes its original carpeted floor mats, maintenance booklet, and owners manual.

The legendary twin-turbo powerplant propelling this Aristo truly needs little introduction. This 2JZ-GTE is fresh off a recent oil and filter service, and fires to life with the twist of a key, thanks to a brand new 12v battery. The 3.0l inline-six won't sweat a drop of oil thanks to new crank and cam seals we have installed, and the new air filter helps the JZ idle smooth and pull hard to redline. Simple maintenance is one thing, but while on our lift we also performed the very pricy timing belt, water pump, and thermostat service ensuring another hundred thousand miles of trouble-free driving. A new rear propeller shaft flex disc makes power delivery through the automatic gearbox smooth, and the acceleration from the 3.0l is impressive. The factory suspension delivers a predictable and balanced ride, soaking up road imperfections without hesitation. While cornering the newly replaced tension rods and passenger rear steering inner and outer tie rods make handling precise, and with the addition of four new Falken tires, the car stays firmly planted on the road. The brake pedal feels firm and responsive thanks to four brand new brake rotors and pads.
