Stock#5236Nissan's Y33 is a highly underrated luxury sedan. This plush, roomy five-seater drives splendidly and includes a hefty amount of safety features and power amenities. This 1996 is finished in a Blue Metallic over Gray Two-tone(4S9) and offered with a mere 43k verified and documented miles on the chassis. Aside from some light scuffs, dings, and chips associated with normal use, the body is in good shape. From the factory lace seat covers to the rear power reclining seats, this four-door oozes quality and opulence. Powerful, modern feeling, and affordable it's hard to deny this sweet Cima isn't an incredible value and bonafide Japanese Classic! The cabin is clean, quiet, spacious, and well-appointed. It's clear the car was cared for in Japan and it shows. The dashboard is in good shape and lacks any cracking or distortion. Dual front SRS airbags add a level of reassurance for those in the front seats but the safety features don't stop there. For the first time ever in Japan, side airbags were also made standard on a passenger car. A large factory sat nav/radio combo dominates the center stack, and was cutting edge at the time. The audio works and the digital climate control is simple to use and functional. Power folding mirrors, locks, and windows make daily use convenient and the driver receives an electric seat and adjustable steering column. All the aforementioned items work, as a testament to Nissan's build quality, and the cabin gets even better out back. The rear armrest includes A/C controls and the rear seats can be individually reclined with the press of a button! The seats are upholstered in a soft, gray cloth and are supremely comfortable. Like the headliner, carpets, and door cards the material lacks any major blemishes. On long trips, the cabin is quiet and lacks any major road-noise, rattles, or squeaks. Cruise control is the icing on the cake and this Cima is ideal for commuting or a long highway jaunt. The Cima was redesigned for its third generation in 1996, and this iteration feels incredibly modern inside and out. The engine is an absolute gem, and delivers killer midrange power with the stab of the throttle. The VQ30DET is fresh off an oil and filter service and starts up promptly thanks to a new 12v battery. The 3.0L idles confidently and is connected to an automatic gearbox. The transmission shifts smoothly and sends power to the rear wheels. Acceleration is impressive and the Cima manages to get up to highway speeds with ease. While in our shop one of our trained technicians replaced the rear struts and she rides like a dream now. The brakes are confident and the power steering is light and effortless. The factory alloys are all wrapped in new all-season tires at all four corners. They will last for tens of thousands of miles to come and deliver premium year-round grip when called upon. This composed sedan is one of the nicest we have seen in recent memory. For the JDM enthusiast who loves a quality executive saloon, look no further than this Japanese Classic. *California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
