The R33 performs better and used better quality materials than the generation it replaced, and this 1996 GTS25t is a low mileage example. Finished in a sleek White (QM1) this Skyline coupe is offered with a mere 64k verified and documented miles on the chassis. It's possible this car saw track use in a prior life as we did see some impact damage and repair work on the body and both quarter panels have been widened with fiberglass overfenders to accommodate larger, sticky rubber. The body would easily pass muster at a cars and coffee but more importantly, the mechanicals have been sorted through and the maintenance brought up to date. Powerful, responsive, and more refined than they are given credit for, this serious sports car is a collectible and sexy Japanese Classic that practically begs you to hoon it about!

The cabin is in good nick overall and includes several power amenities and safety features. For instance, the dash is in great shape and lacks any cracking or distortion. It even has a passenger-side SRS airbag which was rare in '96. The steering wheel has been replaced with a Target Racing unit which matches the cars exterior aesthetic. The power locks, windows and mirrors all work however the power-folding mirror function is no longer working. The seats are in good shape and lack any major rips, stains, or tears, They are adequately bolstered and are comfortable on long cruises. The carpets are in fine shape as are the door cards and the headliner has resisted major wear over the years.

The mechanicals were a vast improvement over the R32. The chassis is more rigid, resulting in fewer squeaks and rattles. The other benefit is less sloppy handling even though the 33 tips the scales above the 32. This one is powered by Nissan's beloved RB25DET. This 2.5L mill makes killer mid-range torque and is much more responsive to modifications than the RB20DET. Fresh off an oil and filter service the straight-six starts up promptly thanks to a new 12v battery. Its idles are nearly vibration free. An HPI intake adds a few ponies and makes all the turbo sounds you want to hear, The RB is mated to a slick-shifting five speed manual gearbox. Power is sent to the rear wheels and this four-seater easily scoots up to and above legal highway speeds. The suspension can handle the rigors of daily use and the long-wheelbase provides some impressive highway stability. The brakes are responsive and the power steering is nicely weighted and communicative. The black Prodrive wheels are all wrapped in new rubber at all four corners. These quiet down the ride, and will deliver plenty of grip for tens of thousands of models.
