Nissan had a strong lineup of sports cars available in the mid-90s, with the Skyline leading the pack. This 1995 Nissan Skyline GTS25-T is a sports car in the purest sense. With a 5-speed manual transmission, rear-wheel drive, and a punchy turbo inline-six, it ticks all the boxes. Finished in a stately Super Black (KH3), the body is in good shape aside from some minor dings, and chips associated with normal use. Offered with a mere 113k verified and documented miles, this legally imported and recently serviced JDM ride is a purist's dream. Upgraded with some pricey performance modifications, the coupe is highly collectible and a certified Japanese Classic that would make for a killer weekend cruiser or unique daily driver.

The R33 interior had some significant changes to the cabin design compared to the previous R32. Cabin space is larger, giving plenty of leg and headroom when seated. An adjustable steering column makes daily use more convenient and this Skyline offers decent visibility from the cabin. The dash is in good shape and lacks any cracking or distortion. Upholstered in a grey and blue cloth, the seats are aggressively bolstered which keeps the occupants from sloshing about in the twisties. There is some wear on the driver's bolster from normal use that is noticeable when entering the car, but no other large blemishes are noted. The gauge cluster is simple at a glance, and the steering wheel is OEM with a driver airbag. The airbag light does come on intermittently and we did want to note that for the next owner. The interior remains in its original form overall, other than the aftermarket aluminum shift knob and pedal covers. Equipped with digital climate control, the A/C blows cold, which is key in these summer months. Power options include electric windows with a driver one-touch control and power mirrors. Power folding for the mirrors is operational only for the driver side. If tight parking is a concern, you are still able to manually fold the mirrors in if needed. Door cards do show some slight imperfections on the drivers side, although the headliner and carpets still are in still in decent shape. A double din Clarion radio was installed in Japan and is still in good working order although we prefer the sweet song of the RB25DET.

The R33 did receive a power upgrade under the hood, thanks to the RB25DET. It gained a half-liter of displacement and a bunch of low-end torque over the 2.0L it replaced. Turn-key ready, this monster fires up and idles perfectly, thanks to the new 12V battery installed. A short ram intake and front mount intercooler work in unison to help the RB breathe in cold, dense air. A polished 3" catback helps the exhaust gases flow a bit better than the OEM pipes and sounds nice and throaty. Braking distances are short thanks to a new set of pads on the front GT-R brakes and this balanced chassis squats down nicely under hard braking. Acceleration is impressive overall and the five-speed manual gearbox shifts seamlessly. Power is being sent to the rear wheels as it should be. The 18" Yokohama Connoisseur wheels are wrapped in new Falken tires to ensure you have tens of thousands of miles of premium grip to go. Cornering is just as fun as getting into the throttle, as this balanced platform is nimble and communicative through the twisties. The Tein coilovers provide decent damping and lower this two door down to a sportier ride height.
