The Cima was Nissan's flagship sedan in the 90's and was full of the latest tech and creature comforts. This 1996 example marks the latest generation eligible for legal import into the US, and shares its platform with the USDM Infiniti Q45. In great condition, with just 84k verified and documented miles, this Nissan Cima shows well in its classic Blueish Black Pearl (KJ6) over Grey two tone. The paint is in wonderful condition with only minor scuffs and dings from normal use. Notable repairs in Japan include two new front fenders. Accented by a factory optional front lip, Impul sports muffler, 19" Alloy wheels, and RSR coilovers, this stately sedan makes for a comfortable and unique daily driver that is fresh off a recent service.
The interior of the Cima had many more options available over it's USDM counterpart. Things like reclining rear seats, rear seat radio and climate controls, optional OEM navigation and radio/climate control screen, OEM optional air purifier, and even a powered front passenger seat adjustment so the driver can easily provide more legroom for rear passenger. All of which function properly and make for a great conversation starter when you have new passengers in the car. Equipped with Dual front SRS airbags and dual side SRS airbags, you'll have a bit more peace of mind too. The dash is in great shape and has resisted any major UV damage over the years. The seats are trimmed in Nissan's executive cloth and show no major wear, rips, or major staining. They are comfortable both around town or on long hauls. Inside the rear seat arm rest you'll find a storage compartment, cupholders, and a digital climate control and radio controls. Additional features include cruise control, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, and a tilt steering wheel which all work properly as well. The automatic digital climate control works great as well providing cold A/C and hot heat to the occupants. That's not to say the interior is perfect, there is some wear to the top of the steering wheel we wanted to note. That aside, it's doesn't get much better or more luxurious than this clean interior!
Powering the Cima is Nissan VH41 4.1L V8. This engine which was also offered in the Infiniti Q45 is a breeze to maintain. Parts are available at your local auto parts store or nearest Nissan dealer, which is convenient. The V8 starts up quickly thanks to a new 12v battery we installed here at our dealership and benefits from a fresh oil and filter change, and a new engine air filter. Acceleration is smooth and packs plenty of power to overtake on the highway. An Impul Blast axle back exhaust adds a more sporty tone, yet is still classy and unobnoxious. Shifts are performed through a buttery smooth automatic transmission and stop and go traffic is a nonissue. The suspension has been upgraded to a set of RSR adjustable coilovers which improve handling and allow you to set your desired ride height. Aftermarket 19" alloy wheels fill up the wheel arches perfectly and are wrapped in brand new rubber for a nice smooth ride. This well optioned top of its class sedan is ready for its new owner to cruise in style!
