The angular, tough-looking, exterior of the 70 Series Prado gets confused for a G Wagen, but we can guarantee that its Japanese underpinnings are much more reliable. This 1995 Land Cruiser is powered by an efficient and powerful 1KZ-TE turbo diesel and is fresh off a recent service. Refinished at some point in a sexy one-off Baltic Black, and set off by a set of EGR rainguards and FET fog lamps, the body is in good shape aside from some normal dings, chips, and scuffs. Offered with only 160k verified and documented miles, this spacious, third-row equipped Toyota is turn-key and ready to rock. As a family hauler, weekend trail rig or ultimate mall crawler. No matter how this next chapter unfolds, this unique and practical JDM SUV is a special Japanese Classic!

The cabin is a special place, and the upholstery steals the show. The blue and gray cloth seats and door cards provide plenty of pop and are in good shape overall. They lack any major rips stains or tears and, like the headliner and carpets, have resisted major abuse over the years. Electric windows, locks, and power mirrors all work like a charm and make daily use more enjoyable. An Eclipse head unit upgrade supplies all the tunes and is located next to a simple to use manual climate system. The A/C blows cold and the heat works as well, and this rig is ready for year-round use. A third row is on hand in case you need to pack in some extra friends and the cargo area is in good nick, too. That's not to say the interior is perfect as we wanted to note a nickel size blemish in the center of the dash and the electronic hub lock no longer works so we would advise doing a manual hub conversion, which is an inexpensive upgrade.

The mechanicals are simple sturdy and the driveline is known for that top-tier Toyota reliability. The 3.0L can also lturbodiesel is fresh off an oil and filter service and starts up promptly thanks to two new 12v batteries. The four-cylinder idles with confidence and is mated to a slick-shifting automatic gearbox. The selective transfer case is simple to operate and low gearing is available if you encounter some loose surfaces or inclement weather. Acceleration is impressive for a truck this size and the Prado is capable of sustained cruising at highway speeds. The suspension benefits from new traction bar bushings and the long-wheelbase lends itself to a predictable ride. The brakes are confident and the wheels are all wrapped in new 31" Falken tires. The new tires quiet down the ride and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come. We also installed a new spare tire to match!
