This 1996 Mitsubishi Pajero is a tough, capable, and spacious JDM SUV. Underpinned by a sturdy body on a frame platform and packing a powerful and efficient turbodiesel, this 4WD truck is unlike many SUVs on the current market. The exterior is finished in a Seattle Silver Metallic (A71) which is eye-catching even for a 25-year-old SUV and is complemented by a set of OEM rain guards and a polished factory brush guard. Aside from some normal dings and scuffs associated with normal use, it's in good nick and offered with a mere 49k verified and documented miles. With room for seven, this legally imported and recently serviced SUV would make for a stellar family hauler, weekend trail warrior, or both!

The cabin is spacious with plenty of space for the entire family. The seats are upholstered in a soft grey cloth throughout the spacious three rows. The front Captain chairs are a nice touch and add folding armrests for comfort. The dash is in good shape and lacks any cracking or major imperfections. Frigid A/C is available on-demand keeping all occupants comfortable and cool with dedicated rear controls as well. Power windows, locks, and mirror adjustments are in good working order. For tight parking, you have the power folding mirror option but the passenger side is inoperable. The option to manually fold the mirror can be performed if needed. Door cards are in above average shape and lack and major imperfections. If you do need more rear cargo space, the 3rd row can be folded up and the second row will also collapse to grant you the extra volume. The rear tailgate is designed to swing open to assure you don't bump your head when loading and unloading items. Even the original owner's manuals and OEM carpet mats are still in the glovebox and add to the originality of the truck.

The drivetrain fitted in these Pajeros is stout and easy to find parts for. This 4M40 four-cylinder diesel turbo packs plenty of torque with decent power and is fresh off an oil and filter service. With a twist of the key, this four-banger fires up and idles steady thanks to the two new 12V batteries that will last for years to come. The automatic shifts smoothly with no hesitation or clunking and is geared just fine for our stateside speed limits which are higher than the Japanese highways. You have the option of selecting 2wd or 4wd depending on the path you are on and in low speed or off-road adventures, 4wd low is there to assist. The stock suspension is strong for rough terrain or open highway speeds. Brakes are responsive when applied without hesitation for everyday use. OEM wheels wrapped in brand new Falken rubber at all four corners plus a brand new spare, to ensure proper contact between you and the road. These not only look good, but also add tons of premium year-round grip, and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come.
