Whether you recognize this sedan from Gran Turismo, Team Emperor in Initial D, or are just a die-hard Mitsubishi fan, there is no denying that this sedan is legendary within the JDM scene. Finished in a new coat of Scotia White (W83), the body and paint are in good shape aside from a few minor imperfections. Bone stock, this 1996 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV GSR boasts only 69K verified and documented miles and is fresh off a recent service. For the performance enthusiast, this road-legal rally car leaves little to be desired. Fast, practical, and ready for year-round use, this Evo IV is a stellar sport sedan and a certified Japanese Classic!

When entering the cabin, it's hard to ignore the textured cloth OEM Recaro seats. They break up the cabin while lacking any major rips, stains, or tears. The view of the road ahead is clear and unobstructed. The dash lacks any cracking or distortion and houses dual SRS front airbags. Headroom and legroom are abundant inside the cabin of this GSR making for a comfortable ride to and from work, or on an occasional weekend cruise. The OEM leather MoMo steering wheel makes daily driving comfortable, along with some convenient power amenities at hand. Power windows and power locks are all readily available at the touch of a button for quick use. The power mirrors sadly do not function, however they can still be manually adjusted. The automatic digital climate control is simple to use. With the push of a button and the turn of a knob, cold a/c or hot heat is ready to blast through the vents so that the desired cabin temp can be maintained. Although limited in the number of frequencies it's able to pick up, the Kenwood head unit is functional. Although many may think this sedan would be lacking in space for storage, they are sadly mistaken. The trunk of this Evo is plentiful in space, and underneath the carpeting a spare tire and OEM jack can be found for when an emergency arises.

All four wheels are powered by the legendary 4G63T engine. The 2.0L is designed for quick power delivery and is capable of some pretty insane horsepower when modified. Ours is fresh off an oil and filter service and is paired to a communicative, close-ratio 5-speed manual transmission. A new valve cover gasket and engine air filter were taken care of by one of our trained techs while it was up on the lift, and the four-banger feels strong all the way to redline. The Active Yaw system works to maximize traction when driving spiritedly through the corners. The OEM suspension is quiet and soft when cruising, but stiff enough for when needing to corner or take turns. While conducting maintenance on the Evo our techs also installed rear differential bushings to refresh the suspension helping this AWD terror feels planted in the turns. The Evo stops on a dime and new brake pads have been installed at all four corners. New rubber was taken care of as well, with brand new tires mounted and balanced prior to sending the sedan to its Virginia state safety inspection.

For those looking for a performance-packed five-seater, the EVO is in a class of its own. Its racing heritage, collectible nature, and rewarding driving characteristics make it nearly too good to pass up. Federally legal and eager to start its next chapter, all this Mitsubishi needs now is a new owner!
