This Mitsubishi is an adventurous van that has the ability to go virtually anywhere, thanks to its gutty turbodiesel and trusty 4x4 system. Accessorized with an OEM brush guard and parking pole, OEM rainguards, and privacy tint, this upgraded trim level Delica boasts the functional, rare, and desirable Crystal Lite glass roof option, which is ideal for those looking to sleep under the stars! Best of all, this recently serviced transporter is offered with a mere 113k verified and documented miles. The exterior is finished in Mitsubishi's Dark Blue Pearl Metallic and Kaiser Silver Metallic two-tone (T88H39), which is in good condition aside from the normal dings and scratches from daily use. As an overlanding camping rig, kid hauler, or daily driver, this stellar Space Gear is perfect and is a bonafide and collectible Japanese Classic.

The interior is extremely spacious and has been very well taken care of in a prior life. Flexible seating and room for seven make this an ideal road trip vehicle. The textured upholstery is still soft to the touch, and the seats lack any major rips, stains, or tears. A neat feature of the second row is the ability to rotate 180 degrees, and it can also lay flat along with the third row, allowing use as a large sleeping area. The carpets, headliner, and door cards are in equally good nick, and seem to have been cared for in Japan. One very common issue in vehicles of this vintage is the dashboard cracking, bubbling, or lifting near the windshield, but in the case of this example it is lacking anything of the sort. We did want to note, however, that the plastic trim piece in the center of the dashboard does have a crack in it. Woodgrain trim can be found around the center stack and appears in good condition, adding a bit of contrast inside the cabin. For natural ventilation, a factory power-retractable sunroof sits between the front occupants and can be unfurled with the press of a button. The rear glass roof display is fixed, but has UV covers that power close when not in use to protect the interior. It gets plenty of natural light into the cabin during the daytime, allowing for a much larger feeling passenger cell. Reflective tint found on the rear windows aids in regulating interior temperature by keeping out the sun and adds a touch of privacy. The factory head unit installed in the van is fully functional but lacks the capability to pick up U.S. frequencies. Power windows, power locks, and power mirrors make daily driving enjoyable. It even has an adjustable steering column, too.

The Delica is superior off the beaten path, yet civil on it. Power comes from an efficient and torquey 4M40 turbodiesel that is fresh off an oil and filter service. It starts right up, care of two new 12v batteries, and benefits from new accessory belts that one of our trained techs replaced. The 2.8L is mated to a smooth-shifting automatic transmission. It's capable of driving at sustained highway speeds, unlike smaller JDM vans, and the soft suspension takes both big and small potholes with confidence. The Delica's trick selective transfer case was cutting edge at the time of its production. You can select a center locker to be engaged and a low range 4WD gearing if need be, but that's not special on its own. The driver, unlike those piloting Toyotas of this era, could switch between 2WD and 4WD on the fly, at speeds up to 62 mph. This is key for those hauling up an icy road in the middle of ski season! Why pull over? The brakes are confident and the power steering is on point and light. New all-terrain Falkens have been mounted at all four corners and will provide tens of thousands of miles of year-round grip to come. They also look killer and provide premium traction on loose surfaces and sand!
