Inside the spacious interior, the upholstered cloth seats are in great shape and clearly well taken care of by its prior owner in Japan. The amount of head and legroom available in both the front and rear rows is astonishing. The dash is also in great condition showing no major defects save for some minor wear around the field monitor trim. Equipped in the dashboard and steering wheel is the SRS airbag system for added safety and peace of mind for the next owner. The factory audio is functional and the speakers sound decent, although the frequency band isn't the same as US frequencies, so stations are limited. The cabin maintains an enjoyable temperature thanks to the easy to use automatic climate control. With the push of a button, the climate control is ready to blast cold A/C or hot heat. Power windows, power mirrors, and power locks are all functional and make daily use enjoyable. The factory optional backup sensors even still work and let you know when you get too close to an object when backing up. That's not the say the interior is perfect, the center A/C vent has seen better days, but allows air to blow just fine. Additionally, there is some minor staining and marks on the headliner but nothing you wouldn't expect from a vehicle this age. Overall this interior is well kept and in impressive condition.
Comparable to the US 4Runners, many parts are easily interchangeable with this model. The largest mechanical difference between the USDM 4 Runner and JDM 90 series is the 3.0L 1KZ-TE turbo diesel engine. Although not offered in the U.S., the 1KZ is a workhorse of an engine and most parts can be obtained quickly and easily even inside the U.S. More fuel-efficient than its gas-powered brother this diesel-powered 90 is turn-key ready thanks to the all-new serpentine belts and fresh oil and filter service it received here at our shop. Paired with a smooth-shifting automatic transmission and center locking differential for those who want to take a stab at off-road trails. It even has the rare OEM rear locker optio, too! Riding around the city or getting up to merging speeds on the highway is no problem for the peppy 3 liter. Acceleration is quicker than you'd expect and handling is impressive for a body on frame SUV. The ride of this Prado is comfortable thanks to new rear struts our trained technicians installed and the brakes are confident thanks to new front brake pads and rotors, bringing this large SUV to a stop quickly when needed. Lastly, we mounted and balanced 5 new tires giving you plenty of grip for years to come!
