A Land Cruiser needs little introduction, as it forged quite the reputation over the past seven decades of production. This J78 bridges the gap between old and new, offering iconic styling, a powerful turbodiesel, and modern electronics. This 1995 is finished in Midnight Black, with only 161K verified miles; the body is in good shape other than some minor scuffs, dings, and chips associated with normal use. Well-appointed and fresh off a recent service, this Land Cruiser can take you anywhere your heart desires, even if it is the road less traveled.

The interior of this Prado has tons of power accessories and a third row! An adjustable steering column, power windows, locks, and mirrors are all at hand for the driver. The view of the road ahead is commanding, and the tall ride height and massive front and side glass are great for visibility. A pioneer touchscreen head unit has been installed in Japan and pipes in those sweet tunes to the cabin. Cold A/C is available through a manual climate control system and privacy tint works to further reduce interior temps. If you prefer natural ventilation, the OEM rain guards reduce wind buffeting and allow a refreshing breeze into the cabin. The gray and blue Alcantara seats are in good nick, lacking any major rips, holes, or tears. Comfortable over long hauls, seating capacity is seven, just in case you have some friends who might want to join your crew. The matching door cards and gray headliner are in above average shape, and a nonfunctional sunroof sits atop the roof. The third row can fold away into the d-pillar and split barn doors open wide to reveal a massive rear cargo area.

The drivetrain is the stuff dreams are made of. Perhaps one of Toyota's best designs, the 2982cc 1KZ-TE four-banger sits mounted far back in the engine bay. Easy to get your hands around, this massive four starts up quickly with the aid of a new 12V battery. The engine oil and filter have also been changed out so that no scheduled maintenance is needed for another three thousand miles. Power is sent to either two or four wheels through a selective transfer case. Low speed is available if the going gets tough, and electronic hub locks can be accessed via a cabin mounted selection switch. The suspension is compliant and handles large and small road imperfections without complaint. The power steering is light, and the brakes don't have an issue slowing down this big brute. The black alloy wheels are all shod with new oversized Falken Rubitreks and we have even mounted a new spare as well!
