1993 Subaru Legacy RS

The Subaru Legacy is a fantastic all-around performer. It seats five, features AWD, a turbo, and a manual gearbox. This 1993 sedan is finished in a pretty Dark Blue Pearl (416), and the body is in good shape other than some light dings, chips, and scratches associated with normal use. Fresh off a recent service, this RS is offered with only 88k verified miles and would make for a top-notch, turn-key, daily driver.
The interior of this Subaru is much nicer than other manufacturers were offering at the time. The materials are upscale and have stood the test of time well. For instance, the dash is in good nick and is lacking any weather-related damage or cracking. A digital climate system sits front and center and is easy to use. The a/c blows ice cold out to both the front and rear passengers and the system pumps out plenty of heat for wintertime. The gauges are easy to read, and clearly illuminated and sit behind a leather-wrapped Momo steering wheel. Other driver controls include power-folding mirrors, power locks, and power windows. They all work well and are nice to have if you plan to daily drive this gem. Eagle-eyed enthusiasts will also note a head unit upgrade to a newer Subaru unit, and sweet tunes fill the cabin when you wish. The seats are particularly comfortable and are upholstered in a red and gray pattern. Both rows of seats are in above average condition, lacking any major rips, stains, or tears. The headliner and door cards are also decent, and it's clear that this little sedan was cared for.
Under the hood is a twin-turbo EJ20H boxer engine. horizontally opposed, for a low center of gravity, and utilizing an advanced sequential turbo system was a pretty trick at the time, the EJ is known to be a reliable sump as well. At 2.0L it's still relatively efficient, and benefits from a fresh oil and filter service. The startup is brisk, and the EJ sets into a constant but burbly idle. Acceleration is impressive and the five-speed manual sends power to all four wheels through a symmetric all-wheel-drive system. The transmission shifts without a hitch or grind and feels direct thanks to a new set of shifter bushing our technicians installed. The suspension is pliable and the brakes and power steering are operating as they should. The five-spoke alloys all have new all-season tires mounted to them at all four corners. Whether in the heat, sleet, rain, or snow, the rubber can handle all the weather you can throw at them safely.
