1995 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado EX
Known for their ruggedness, reliability, and spaciousness the 70 Series Land Cruiser Prado is an iconic Toyota model. This 1995 J78 is in good condition boasting only 88K verified and documented miles. Finished in Dark Emerald Pearl over Oyster Pearl two-tone (26Z) and sitting on 16" Mickey Thompson Alloy wheels wrapped in 33" tires the body and paint are in fantastic shape showing only minor dings and chips from regular daily use. The suspension sports a 3" lift on Pro Comp shocks giving this Prado an aggressive stance and brutish good looks. Additionally, OEM rainguards are present along with some dark privacy tint. The polished chrome features on the bumpers and door handles add some extra pop to the Emerald Green exterior and this certified Japanese classic SUV is fresh off a recent service!
Inside the large 7-passenger cabin, you'll find a tidy interior that has been well maintained throughout its life. The dashboard is in good nick and lacks any major fading, cracks, holes, or bubbling. The OEM head unit was replaced in Japan with a Panasonic head unit that is fully functional, and although it does not pick up U.S. stations it does have Bluetooth functionality so the next owner is able to enjoy the tunes of their choice. Power windows, power locks, and a power sunroof all function as advertised with the push of a button, making daily use enjoyable. The mirrors, sadly are not functioning electronically but are easily adjusted manually. The cloth upholstered seats are in good condition lacking any major rips, tears, or stains as are the door cards and the headliner which lack any major imperfections. For those hot summer days or cold winter nights, the manual climate control is ready to keep everyone comfortable with cold A/C or hot heat. The third row seats can be easily stowed and the second row folded down making the cargo area massive when you need to make a run to Home Depot.
The rear wheels are powered by the powerful, reliable, and confident 1KZ-TE turbo diesel engine paired with a smooth-shifting 5-speed manual transmission. The selective 4wd transfer case is readily available along with the electronic locking hubs, which engage with the press of a button inside the cockpit. A new 12v battery makes cold starts a breeze and a fresh oil and filter service was just performed to give the next owner another 3k miles before the next oil change. Along with that service, our trained technicians also installed a new front differential seal, installed new transfer case bearings, as well as drained and filled the front and rear differentials with new fresh fluids. The transfer case and transmission got the same treatment with new fluids replacing the old, for years of continued service. The aftermarket suspension feels great and we replaced the right front tie rod and performed a fresh alignment to keep this 70 tracking straight down the road. Getting up to merging speeds is easily done as the engine happily accelerates, easily propelling this large SUV and highway speeds are no sweat either. Whether using this 70 as a daily, weekend cruiser, or just to have some offroad fun the next owner is sure to enjoy this reliable and rugged Land Cruiser!
