1995 LC Prado Narrowbody

Stock #6209

Still in production today, the iconic 70 Series Land Cruisers receive high marks for durability, style, and practicality. This 1995 is a stellar rig, and is finished in a delectable Grasmere Green (2207). Aside from a few light dings, chips, and scratches the paint is in good shape and this narrow-body Prado is set off by multipiece 15" Epsilon alloys and a set of chrome mirror caps. These 4x4s are wonderful year-round daily drivers, beach cruisers, and overlanding all-stars, and this example is fresh off a recent service. Boasting only 126k verified and documented miles, this turbodiesel Toyota is barely broken in. Cool, collectible, and capable, this KZJ78 is a purebred Japanese Classic and will surely unlock your inner Rambo!

The cabin is clean, simple, and includes a few upgrades from overseas that are quite impactful. It should be also noted that this truck includes the optional third-row seating which brings occupancy up to seven. Sure the dashboard has some very minor cracking, but it's not as bad as most 70 series cockpits we see. The center stack includes controls for Cold A/C and the heat works like a charm as well. If you prefer natural ventilation, a large power moonroof can be unfurled and the side windows power down with a touch of a button. Even the quarter glass pops outward for a little extra air movement. The driver benefits from a tilt adjustable steering column to find the ideal driving position. Even the driver seat has inflatable side bolsters to alleviate the stresses on your back on longer drives. The upholstery steal the show with its 90's appeal. The cloth is soft to the touch and lacks any major rips, stains or tears. There's a decent command of the road when behind the wheel as this rig is tall and rides above traffic. The switchgear is all close at hand and the driver benefits from functioning power mirrors which make daily use more enjoyable. Functional power locks and windows also make daily use more enjoyable. An upgraded center console includes leather padding and some integrated cupholders. That's not to say the cabin is perfect as we wanted to note the expensive headunit lacks the proper SD card to operate and there is some light carpet staining. On the positive side the owner's manuals, maintenance booklets and even a spare key is included with the purchase.

Under the skin, this body-on-frame brute is simple yet tough. The ladder chassis design lends itself to long-term durability and this SUV can take a licking and keep on ticking! The same can be said for the 1KZ-TE which has a legendary reputation. This 3.0L is fresh off an oil and filter service and churns to life care of a new 12v battery. As we do with all the diesel a new fuel filter was installed and the four banger feels healthy as a horse. It's linked to a responsive automatic gearbox that feeds power to the rear axle or both at the same time depending on the driver's preference. If traction becomes an issue, a low range can be engaged through the transfercase and the pilot can even lock the hubs electronically from the cabin. To keep the 4WD running tip-top one of our trained techs has replaced the front and rear output seals. We also refreshed the suspension, and this lifted beast rides on new Ironman 4x4 shocks at each corner. We didn't stop there as one of our trained techs also rebuilt the front hubs and replaced the worn trailing arm bushings with brand new ones. The power steering is light and makes this rig easy to maneuver in the tight confines of a parking deck. The brakes feel confident and the multipiece wheels are freshly refinished and wrapped in new Falken rubber at each corner. After a fresh alignment, she's dialed in and primed to deliver tens of thousands of miles of grip, whether it's on or off the beaten path!
