Honda's first attempt at a multipurpose van was an absolute success with the RA1 Odyssey. This 1995 is finished in Honda's Pacific Blue Pearl and set off by rear privacy tint and a set of sporty Weds alloys. Aside from some scratches, scuffs, dings, and chips, the paint is in good shape overall and this one-owner vehicle was obviously cared for in a prior life. Fresh off a recent service, this reliable, efficient, and spacious runabout is offered with a mere 78k verified and documented miles. For those looking for a unique hauler, that is simple to service, this Honda is ideal. Affordable, comfortable, and just plain cool this terrific transporter is a certified Japanese Classic the whole family can enjoy!

The cabin is in good overall shape and has a few handy features and amenities. The driver receives an adjustable steering column and electric locks and windows to make daily use enjoyable. These work properly as does the dual-zone air conditioning system, which is a massive upgrade over the US models. The view of the road ahead is unencumbered and the dash lacks any cracking or distortion. The tan carpets have a few light stains, but that is to be expected. On the positive side, the OEM carpet mats are on hand to prevent future harm and the door cards and headliner have resisted major abuse over the years. The OEM audio does function in case you want to play some tunes on a road trip. The tan upholstery is supportive and soft to the touch. They lack any major rips, stains, or tears and have been cared for overseas. The middle row can fold forward and the rear row can be tucked away for maximum storage capacity. That's not to say that everything is perfect as the driver-side mirror no longer folds, but frankly, that's a bit of nitpicking. We even have a few spare keys, the OEM manuals, and maintenance booklets on hand for the next owner!

When Honda conceived this original version of the Odyssey, they saw it as a tall sedan. Based on the Accord, this Odyssey is powered by the F22B four-cylinder engine. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the engine springs to life thanks to a new 12v battery we installed here in our shop. Power is fed through a smooth shifting automatic transmission that utilizes a column shifter to maximize interior room. The engine weight resides above the front axle so if you get caught in snow or sleet, the Honda can maintain traction easily. It scoots about the city and manages highway merging without creating any stress. The frugal little van also boasts a premium feeling ride quality. One of our trained techs has replaced all the shocks to give the suspension a new lease on life. The brakes are confident thanks to new rear brake pads plus new rear rotors and the 16" Weds wheels are all wrapped in new Falken all-season rubber. The tires quiet down to road noise a fair amount and most importantly will last for tens of thousands of miles to come.
