The capable, mid-sized, Hilux Surf takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. Powered by one of the best turbodiesels the brand ever designed along with a beefy 4WD system, this '95 is offered with a mere 137K verified miles. Finished in the timeless Toyota Black (204) and accented with OEM rain guards and a polished brush guard; the body is in good shape other than some minor dings, chips, and scuffs associated with normal use. Packing room for five, and a few nice power upgrades around the cabin, this rig can take you anywhere in style!

The interior has been kept up impressively and has some decent standard equipment. As for upgrades, a Gravida wood grain steering wheel and functional Pioneer head unit dress up the straightlaced interior and as some modern conveniences such as USB and auxiliary capabilities. Automatic climate control is standard, the system currently blows cold which is nice for the last few days of Summer. If you prefer more natural ventilation, a large powered sunroof can retract and the power windows can unfurl with the touch of a few buttons. Even the rear window is powered and rear privacy tint keeps interior temperatures down further. Power locks are also standards but the power mirrors no longer work. The dash also has a small pad for a phone or dashtop nav unit, which may obscure a crack, but we were hesitant to remove it. The seating surfaces are in wonderful nick and lack any major rips, tears, or burns. They match the door cards, and the carpets and headliner also look good. The OEM carpet mats and owners manuals are also included in the sale, and add some originality!

The mechanicals is where the Hilux really shins as Toyotas from this era were perhaps the best ever produced. Starting with the powerplant, Toyota sourced its legendary 3.0L 1KZ-TE to power this 4x4. Known for its torque, efficiency, and low cost of ownership, this engine benefits from a new engine air filter and end engine oil and filter service. She turns over with the twist of a key and idles happily until you depress the throttle. The groundswell of torque is fed through an automatic transmission that shifts as it should, lacking any hesitation or noticeable clunking. The driver selective transfer case can send power to the rear wheels alone, or power the fronts in a low and high gearset if required. The suspension is refined enough to handle daily use and the factory split-spoke alloys are all wrapped in new Falken oversized rubber. They will last for years to come and can handle gravel, sand, and snow if the truck happens to encounter any. The brakes are particularly good for a truck, and our trained technicians have installed new front brake pads and rotors to ensure that you and your passengers remain safe. This SSR-X Limited is one hell of a value; as a true body on frame truck it can take you over tough terrain and this platform seems to beg for more. Its efficient and reliable drivetrain compliment the well-kept interior and would make this SUV an ideal candidate for a daily driver or offroad toy.
