If you read our Instagram posts, you'll likely know how much demand there is for a manual transmission turbo diesel Hilux, so here it is! These combinations are extremely difficult to find and this 1994 model is finished in a classic (179) Blue Gray Metallic. This rugged 4x4 is powered by the most desired engine option. the 3.0L 1KZ-TE  turbodiesel. Offered with a mere 145k verified miles, and garnished with a polished OEM brush guard and a set of factory rainguards, the body is in good shape other than some minor dings and scuffs associated with normal use. In fact, we dare say this is one of the nicest cosmetic examples of a Hilux we have seen come through our doors in quite some time! Filled with power accessories, and fresh off a recent service, this efficient and durable diesel five-seater is ready to tackle our American soil!

The cabin is simple, and straightforward in its design. Filled with different shades of gray, the neutral color palette is hardly exciting but the material quality is great. It's obvious that the interior has been cared for over the years, as evidenced by its current condition. The dash is in good shape and features a tilt-adjustable steering column and integrated cupholders. Unlike many vehicles of this age, the dash is neither cracked nor distorted. The center stack includes function OEM audio and an automatic climate control system. The a/c blows cold, and the winter will be more than comfortable with piping hot heat. The glovebox and center console provide a bit of additional storage, and the Hilux includes power mirrors, locks, and windows as standard equipment. The carpet and door cards are clean and lack any major imperfections. The headliner is nearly perfect as well, and the rear window even power retracts for extra ventilation. 

Under the hood, Toyota featured a massive 3.0L diesel four-banger. While not as refined as the upmarket Land Cruiser, this engine is known to be nearly bulletproof and produces incredible torque. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the 1KT churns to life with a twist of the key. Our technicians have also installed a new engine air filter to ensure maximum fuel economy. Mated to a short ratio five-speed, the Hilux moves impressively quick up to highway speeds. The gearbox shifts comfortably, lacking any grinding or resistance when upshifting or downshifting. The selective transfer case allows the driver to select between two and four-wheel drive, and low gearing is also available if the going gets tough. This SSR-X also features Toyotas cutting edge TEMS adjustable suspension systems. With the press of a dash-mounted switch, the driver can toggle between softer and firmer dampening depending on their preference.
