1994 Nissan Silvia S14
Nissan really had some heavy hitters in their model lineup in the 90s, especially in Japan. The Silvia K's was a great sports coupe with a sharp exterior design that is still recognizable on the road today. This 1994 Nissan S14 is finished in Pearl White (WKO) and is even more stunning once you see it in the sunlight. The body is in great shape for a 26-year-old car and has only completed a mere 88K verified and documented miles throughout its time in Japan. The body and paint show well but do have a few minor blemishes and rock chips from normal use. We wanted to note that a radiator support repair was performed in Japan and this sporty chassis is structurally sound and has passed its VA state inspection with flying colors. Quite a few high-quality and pricey modifications have been performed on this gem and the interior looks sharp as well. A set of adjustable coilovers and 18" Blue Stage Monroe Wheels add to the aggressive stance on this Silvia AND the color really pops off the white. Recently serviced, and a blast to drive, this Silvia is a clean example of one of the most sought-after sports cars from Japan.
The cabin in this Silvia is comfortable and features a few upgrades as well. Power options include power windows (with one-touch drivers down), power locks all of which are functional and provide added convenience for daily use. The mirrors are not responding to the controls but can be adjusted manually to your preference. The seats are outfitted in a plush light grey cloth with a nice striped insert to break up the scheme. While the driver and passenger side seats do not match, they are quite close. No rips or tears were noted and no major bolster wear was found on either. The rear seats are in great shape and show very little use over the years, You can seat 2 passengers back there or use the storage for some shopping bags or your amazon packages. The door cards are intact also matching the condition of the seats and the headliner and carpet are free of any major stains. The dash has a carpeted cover over it with cracks underneath, a typical S-chassis issue. The center console is tidy and has an automatic digital climate control that blows heat on demand for the upcoming winter season. The A/C is not blowing cold air which we wanted to note here. The previous owner upgraded the factory stereo to a Carrozzeria radio, which functions great and provides the cabin with tunes. The original steering wheel was ditched for an aftermarket Momo steering wheel that allows the driver a better control when navigating the back roads or the track. The gauge cluster is simple to read and a Blitz boost gauge was added for accurate boost readings. The speedometer works intermittently which we have discovered when we were test driving the vehicle. Overall, this clean cabin is ready for the next owner to enjoy.
The power of Nissan's well-known SR20DET is enough for a good time right out of the box and with the high-quality modifications found underneath the bonnet, it's an absolute rocket. The engine fires right up with the assistance of a new 12V battery installed here at the dealership. Upon our test drive, we did notice that the speedometer was functioning intermittently, which we wanted to note. The 5-speed transmission shifts well and includes an upgraded ORC clutch to handle all of the additional ponies. The stock turbo was swapped out for a very responsive Tomei Arms M7960 turbine that sounds sublime under boost. Other modifications include Nismo 550cc Injectors, Z32 MAF, Apexi metal head gasket, a tuned ECU, Tomei downpipe and a catback exhaust system, HPI front mount intercooler kit, Greddy intake and elbow, and a Greddy Speed limiter cut. The suspension was upgraded with a set of adjustable coilovers and a Juran front strut tower bar, to prevent body roll when driving hard through the twisties. The ride quality is decent for being so low but is a bit stiffer than stock which is to be expected on a purpose-built car. The brakes are confident to slow this Silvia down to a stop. The transmission shifts seamlessly with no grinds in between. If you are looking for a weekend toy or a new project, this S14 is an amazing machine with an amazing platform to start your dream Silvia build with.
