This tasty Prado Land Cruiser comes with all the right accessories and options. It's a looker too, with its one-off Rose Gold paint, BERG 15" alloys, and subtle privacy tint. It was color changed in Japan at some point and the paint is in fair shape aside from light dings, chips, and scuffs associated with normal use. Rocking a 4x4 Engineering roof ladder, OEM rainguards, polished metal front bumper, and a set of LED tail lights, this rig turns plenty of heads. Fresh off a recent service, this JDM SUV is offered with a mere 171k verified and documented miles. For year-round use, the occasional muddy trail, or a weekend cruise away from the city, this terrific Toyota would be ideal. Unique, reliable, and trustworthy, this J78 is a blast to drive, highly collectible, and above all, a bonafide Japanese Classic.

The cabin is in above-average shape compared to the average Land Cruiser we see, and it was obviously cared for in a prior life. It's rare we see these without major dash cracks, but this one seems to have escaped the harmful UV rays of the sun. The factory head unit was ditched for a more modern Alpine unit at some point in Japan. It works great and comes pre-loaded with Taylor Swift's 1989 album. The sound quality is decent for a vehicle of this age and we highly recommend the tracks "Welcome to New York" and "Bad Blood" if you have any taste in music. The driver benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering column and power adjustable lumbar support to find the ideal driving position. Power windows, locks, and mirrors all function as they should, and make daily use more enjoyable. The upholstery is particularly special. Not commonly seen in this textured cognac-colored cloth, and the seats lack any major rips, stains, or tears. They are comfy on long hauls, and the rear row folds all the way forward if you want to catch a catnap in the back. The headliner, door cards, and carpets are in good nick, and the biggest cabin blemish seems to be a small portion of chipped plastic trim around the gear lever. That admittedly is a bit of nitpicking for a vehicle that's a quarter century old, but we wanted to mention it. This Prado SX even comes with the OEM carpet mats, owners manuals, and maintenance booklet, which the next owner will love.

This simple yet sturdy body-on-frame platform is confident, on, and off the beaten path. Powered by the durable and potent 1KZ-TE, this truck has no problem merging onto the highway and cruising at sustained speeds. The engine benefits from a fresh oil and filter service, two new 12v batteries, and a new valve cover gasket which was installed by one of our trained techs. The four-banger idles with confidence and is mated to a slick-shifting automatic gearbox. From the cabin, the driver can engage locking hubs and a low-range 4WD setting to keep the momentum moving forward. When you need to stop, the Land Cruiser can do so confidently thanks to a new left rear caliper and new rear brake pads. The 2" suspension lift adds to the imposing nature of this rig and Rancho shocks sit at all four corners. The Land Cruiser can easily handle the rigors of daily use and abuse and doesn't shy away from potholes and other road imperfections. The power steering makes parking a snap, but like many of these trucks it's not very precise. A new panhard bushing has improved the steering a tad, but don't expect this to be as communicative as a Miata. The alloy wheels are knee-deep in tire tread and will do really well in the rain or snow. We did have to replace the spare with a new one, but that will add some peace of mind for the next owner undoubtedly.
