Body-on-frame SUVs are unfortunately a dying breed of bulletproof rigs. For those who value off-road performance and vehicle longevity, we have this old-school 1994 Surf. This freshly serviced rig is set off by real three-piece 15" alloys, chrome bumpers and mirror caps, and a new coat of Toyota's eye-catching Cement (1H5) paint. Aside from a few light body imperfections, this tough SUV is in good nick and fresh off a recent service. Perfect for adventurous types and daily drivers alike, this stick shift dream is as cool as it gets! Capable, reliable, and easy to service, this stunning Japanese Classic Surf is a winner!

The cabin is simple, clean, and includes a few decent power amenities and options. The driver benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering column and adjustable lumbar support to find the ideal driving position. Power windows, door locks, and electric mirrors all make daily use more enjoyable and work like a charm. The climate control is simple to use and easy to reach. Heat and cold A/C can be directed through the cabin and if you prefer more natural ventilation, a large power sunroof rescinds back and the rear glass can power down. A Kenwood head unit supplies all the tunes you'll ever need and looks almost factory. The seats are upholstered in a durable gray cloth. They lack any major rips, satin, or tears and were cared for in a prior life. The rear bench can also tumble forward and fold flat to accommodate larger cargo if need be. The same material found in the seats is mimicked in the door cards, which are in fine shape. The headliner is tight and taut against the roof and lacks any burn holes or blemishes. Aside from the typical dash cracks, a few scuffed cabin plastics, and some light carpet staining it's really hard to complain about this N130, and we feel the new owner will be impressed with its condition.

The simple and sturdy body on frame platform is known to take tons of abuse. The same thing can be said for the durable 1KZ-TE engine. Two new 12v batteries help the 1K to churn over and the four-banger is fresh off an oil and filter service. Like all of our diesels, we installed a new fuel filter and one of our trained techs also replaced the valve cover gasket when it was up on a lift. A fresh engine air filter was sourced to maximize fuel economy and performance. The 2992cc mill feels hearty as a horse, although we couldn't verify the miles and the vehicle is being sold with unknown/unverified miles. The 1K is mated to a real deal manual five-speed gearbox. Rowing up and down the gears in a joy, and in an SUV no less! Gear changes are direct and rewarding, and the gearing is such that sustained highway driving is never an issue. From stoplight to stoplight the Toyota moves nicely, and the down-low torque is this engine's hallmark. The transfer case is easy to operate and allows the driver to select between 2WD, and 4WD high and low. We didn't stop with just the powertrain, as we felt that this truck's ride should match its killer aesthetic. New shocks at each corner smooth out the ride and the power steering was improved with a new steering damper. The brakes feel confident and grip is handled by four new Falken all-terrain tires that we mounted and balanced at each corner.
