Nissan's R33 underwent a hefty refresh for its 1996 facelift. While the outside served up a fresh-faced menacing appearance, the bones on these "Series 2" Skylines are still the same durable and reliable chassis enthusiasts have come to know and love. Our 1996 model is a handsome, bone stock example. Sporting a potent turbocharged I6 and smooth shifting automatic transmission, this one has the factory equipment to turn heads and keep the drive smooth and reliable for its next owner. Finished in Nissan's Black Pearl (KH3) the exterior shows well, with only some light rock chips, dings, and scratches to note on the factory panels. A desirable factory Type M lip kit spans the exterior, and a tasteful factory rear spoiler and OEM rainguards polish off this sleek coupe's silhouette. Rolling on factory 16" alloys, this R33 has the equipment to get the job done, and with a recent service performed in house and only 104k verified/documented miles on the clock, this timeless Japanese Classic only gets better with age.

Compared to the R32 before it, the R33's cockpit is leaps and bounds better than its predecessor, serving up a host of new amenities, safety equipment, and most importantly premium materials. The seats are trimmed in a durable patterned grey cloth. With checkerboard inserts in the seats, there's not much to turn your nose up at, as they've resisted any unwanted rips, tears, or stains over the years. The dash is soft to the touch, and safety conscious passengers will appreciate its inclusion of standard dual SRS airbags. Fortunately the materials have held up well over the years, with no cracks, peeling, or even pesky UV damage to be found on the interior plastics. The lower dash trim, notorious for peeling, has remained in surprisingly good nick and hasn't been toyed with, retaining the vehicles original audio system and digital automatic climate control unit. Both systems work as expected, with the latter delivering cold A/C and hot heat on demand. The audio is a bit dated, and it's worth noting the screen no longer functions and the speakers could benefit from a replacement as well. For a 25 year old car, the power amenities are pretty much on par with what you'd expect out of a daily driver today. Power windows, mirrors, and power door locks all work at the push of a button, and the power folding feature on the mirrors is still fully operational. The driver benefits from a tilt steering column, and some additional lumbar adjustment on their seat. The rear bench, while small in stature, should fit a couple little ones with no hesitation, and remaining bags, groceries, and luggage can easily be stowed away in the rear. Overall, this classic cockpit was clearly well taken care of by the previous owner, given the condition of the materials, and aside from some light staining on the seats, a missing spare and a nonfunctional tachometer, there's not much to complain about condition-wise. We've even retained the factory owner's manual to preserve the history of your dream car!

Under the bonnet, the RB25DET engine sits in perfect, unmodified form. Benefitting from a slight power bump over the previous iteration, this one has been fully serviced in house by our trained technicians and has been given the green light for the road ahead. We've done the legwork of installing a fresh timing belt and water pump, good for the next 100k km's, and of course a fresh oil and filter service was in order to keep this one well lubricated. New serpentine belts were installed, and a new fuel filter was done to prevent any pesky contaminants in the fuel system. With the maintenance performed she runs right as rain and gets up to highway speeds in a jiffy. For an auto box the transmission is plenty responsive and smooth making this one a great candidate for daily duty or long highway commutes! The stock suspension has held up well over the years and still manages to soak up road imperfections with ease. If you choose to traverse this through back road twists and turns, there's plenty of handling response to be had, and we've replaced the left rear HICAS arm and ball joint to shore up the drivetrain a bit. This sporty coupe brakes confidently, thanks to new pads on the front and rear, and the power steering is light and on point as well. The all season tires are knee deep in tread and should deliver plenty of grip when you need it most. For an all original R33 with some choice OEM upgrades, it doesn't get much better than this!
