1993 Toyota Mark II Manual JZX90

Pending Sale: $17,995

We just got in our first manual JZX90 and it does not disappoint! To cover the basics this is a 1993 with 87K miles finished in Super White (040). The exterior has been kept mostly all stock. It does have the full factory aero which is the front lip, side skirts, and rear spats. The full aero has been hard to come by and really gives it an aggressive look. A set of 17" 5 spoke chrome Aristo wheels have been fitted. The bolt pattern on the JZX is a 5 x 114 so there's no shortage of wheel options out there if you wanted to switch them out. The paint and body are in good shape, however there are some minor blemishes with the paint as to be expected with any 25 year old vehicle. All of the body panels line up as they should and there are no major dents or dings.

The deep blue interior has been kept up to the same standards and remains mostly all factory. The driver and passenger seats have both been very well maintained and are free of any rips or notable stains. The driver side bolster does have some traditional wear from getting in and out but nothing severe. The rears seats appear to have hardly been used. The carpeting and headliner are also in great shape with no notable stains. The factory shifter was switched out in favor of a Lonza carbon patterned knob. The shift boot itself has seen better days but could easily be switched for something newer. The power mirrors, door locks, and windows all operate as they should. The automatic climate control does it's job with cold A/C.

Power comes via the robust twin turbo 1JZ-GTE mated to a R154 5 speed manual. The manual transmission was a factory option and rather hard to find. This particular one was swapped from an automatic at some point with all of the factory pieces. The transmission shifts great with no grinding or hesitation. The R154 is jokingly referred to as a "manmission" as gear changes are definitely firm. Under the hood remains mostly all stock with simply the addition of a HKS intake. The intake is definitely noticeable when coming off boost. The 2.5 comes right to life and is very quiet on idle, the power comes on strong and pulls hard to redline. The suspension cruises along easily but feels very sure footed through the turns. The brakes offer good stopping power since this thing needs it. It's no wonder this platform is so popular in Japan; 4 door practicality matched with Supra power. What more could you ask for?
