One of the most popular luxury sedans in Japan, the Gloria lives up to the hype. Noted for the ride quality, combined with the turbo 3L it makes for a great driver's package. This particular one is a 1991 with only 77K miles. Finished in Gray Anthracite Pearl (KK0) makes this a real looker while keeping a clean, understated approach. The bodylines on the Y32 are muscular with a very squared off stance that really comes alive when you set it down on a good set of wheels. These have become very popular VIP cars recently and the aftermarket is out there to support it. The paint on this one shows very well and is mostly blemish free. However the front and rear bumpers have seen some poor parking in the past and can be noted in the pictures. The rest of the body has been well maintained. The exterior has been kept mostly all stock with simply the addition of a set of hyper white headlight bulbs.
The interior has been kept up just as well, if not better than the exterior. The cloth seats are in excellent shape with no rips or tears. Even the traditional driver side bolster wear is very minimal. The backs seats appear to have hardly ever been used. The other fabric pieces are in the same shape; free of any notable stains or fraying. Even pieces like the dash and button faces are free of any major wear. The factory radio has been removed, however most people replace them anyway seeing as the radio frequencies are not compatible in the US. All of the lighting has been updated to more modern LED's and really look like they should have been there from the factory. Otherwise everything remains original and functioning as they should; including the power windows, mirrors, locks, and seats. The automatic climate control is fully functional and the A/C blows cold.
Power comes thanks to a turbo 3 liter V6 (VG30DET). Under the hood is shockingly clean, it's hard to believe this thing has 77K miles on it. Even the intake manifold, which is notorious for paint flaking from heat, shows well. In the glovebox you'll find the original owners manual along with service records up until 72K miles. The previous owner appeared to really cherish this Ultima and it reflects. The V6 fires right up and idles very quietly. The power delivery is smooth and the turbo spools up quickly providing good top end power. The transmission shifts in and out of gear easily and without any drama. Shifts are smooth and the suspension does a nice job of soaking up bumps. Whether looking for a new cruiser or your next build platform the Gloria can do it all.
